PRESENTED BY THE SMYRNA FIRE DEPARTMENT ANONYMOUS FIREFIGHTER
I NEVER WANTED A NORMAL LIFE. I NEVER WANTED A NORMAL JOB. I COULDN’T STAND THE THOUGHT.
WAKE UP, GO TO WORK, COME HOME, GO TO BED. WAKE UP AND DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN. NO CHALLENGE, NO SACRIFICE, NO PURPOSE.
FOR ME, I WANTED ADVENTURE. I WANTED TO BE MY BEST SELF, AND CONSTANTLY STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE.
I WANTED TO WORK AMONG INDIVIDUALS THAT FELT THE SAME WAY.
WE CONSTANTLY PUSH EACH OTHER...FORWARD, NEVER BACKWARDS.
I’VE ALWAYS THOUGHT TO MYSELF, I NEVER WANTED MY KIDS LOOKING UP TO SOMEONE ELSE, AND THAT’S WHY I BECAME A SMYRNA FIREFIGHTER.
