Grenada Breaks Ground on National Aquatic Centre
In a major step forward for sports development, the Government of Grenada officially broke ground on the National Aquatic Centre in September 2025 Located at the Grenada National Stadium, the facility will feature a 25-metre competition pool built to international standards,supportingbothelitetrainingandcommunityaccess
The project is part of the World Aquatics “Pools for All” programme, which helps countries with limited infrastructure build sustainable aquatic ecosystems Through this initiative, Grenada aims to expand access to aquatic sports, promote water safety, and foster a culture of healthandexcellence
The groundbreaking ceremony brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from the Grenada Amateur Swimming Association (GASA), the Grenada National Olympic Committee, and international partners such as World Aquatics, Panam Sports, and Myrtha Pools Former national swimmer Delron Felix, World Aquatics Vice President Maureen Croes, and Grenada’s Minister of Youth and Sports Delma Thomas all spoke passionately aboutthecentre’spotentialtoshapethefutureofGrenadiansport

TheNewLifeOrganization(NEWLO)hasreceivedasignificant andtimelyboost,thankstoagenerousdonationoftoolsand equipment from the Florida Chapter of the National DemocraticCongress(NDC).
This impactful gesture was inspired by the vision and leadership of Prime Minister, the Honourable Dickon Mitchell, whose steadfast commitment to education and youth developmentcontinuestoshapenationalprogress.
ValuedatoverUS$35,000,thedonationincludesawiderange oftoolsforcarpentry,construction,earlychildhoodeducation, plumbing, electrical installation, cosmetology, and general maintenance. These resources will directly benefit trainees enrolled in NEWLO’s technical and vocational programmes, enhancing their hands-on learning and preparing them for sustainableemployment.

IMA Moves to New Office Regional Regulator for Citizen by Investment
The Investment Migration Agency (IMA) Grenada officially opened its new office at the Galleria Mall, Grand Anse, St. George on September 24, 2025. PrimeMinisterHonourableDickonMitchellattended the opening ceremony, congratulating CEO Thomas Anthony and the IMA team on this milestone
Prime Minister Mitchell highlighted that the move, together with last year’s rebranding, training, and recruitment of new staff reflects IMA’s growth, dedication,andcommitmenttoexcellence.
The new office represents a step forward in IMA’s journey to deliver world-class service, strengthen Grenada’s global presence and create lasting valueforclientsandthenation.
This new Eastern Caribbean Citizenship by InvestmentRegulatoryAuthoritywillsetuniform standards,enforcerigorousduediligence,and ensure compliance across participating States These reforms, shaped through consultations with international partners such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Commission, will safeguard the programmes while continuing to fund vital national priorities such as infrastructure, climate resilience and socialdevelopment.

Sargassum Task Force Activated
Grenada and the European Union convened for the Third EU–Grenada Sargassum Task Force Meeting.
The session brought together government leaders, regionalandinternationalpartnersto:

•ExploreEUsupportandfinancingopportunities,and
•Advance joint positioning ahead of the upcoming SargassumConferenceinBrussels.
The Official Launch of the National Sargassum Task Force and its Working Groups is currentlyinprogress
