NDP 2022 THEME & LOGO
The theme “Stronger Together, Majulah!” is a call for all Singaporeans to forge ahead as a united and strong people towards a better future. “Stronger Together” reminds Singaporeans that unity in our diversity is what makes us stronger. Communities, families and friends coming together form the bedrock of our nation’s strength and resilience, and enable us to overcome challenges. “Majulah”, which means “onward”, encapsulates our hopes and spirit as a nation since our independence 57 years ago, and is a rallying call for Singaporeans to strive for a better future, and grow from strength to strength as we emerge from COVID-19.
The logo portrays a Singapore that is stronger when love and compassion bring everyone together,
and our national ideals continue to spur us on.
The two figures holding hands and embracing a heart represent Singaporeans coming together to build a strong, inclusive, and caring society.
The heart symbolises love for our nation and countrymen, and puts empathy and compassion at the centre of what we do. The two figures also outline the number “57”, reminding us of how far we have come since independence, the challenges we overcame, and the progress we made as an independent and sovereign nation.
The five shooting stars show that when we come together, Singapore will move forward stronger as a nation, guided by our ideals of Democracy, Peace, Progress, Justice and Equality for all.
MESSAGE FROM DR NG ENG HEN

NDP 2022 is the 57th since the first in 1966. Rain or shine, good times or bad, even amid the pandemic, the NDP has carried on since our Independence. It is an important statement, both physically and symbolically, that we make each time we hold an NDP. Because it declares to ourselves and the World at large that Singapore and Singaporeans march onward – Majulah! –on our path of peace and progress; that we are resolved in unity as a nation.
NDP 2022 was the first NDP after nearly three years of the pandemic. It signalled a confidence because the participation this year was even higher than some pre-COVID NDPs. Singaporeans were making a statement of their desire and confidence to return to normalcy, to claim back what the virus had robbed us of.
Singaporeans can assure ourselves that our trust in each other and Government can see us through even the most difficult times. That as long as we are united, we can surmount every challenge that comes our way. We can admire the tenacity of individual Singaporeans and their families in these past years; and appreciate the many small acts of
generosity and kindness to help each other. This was captured in the filmlets in NDP and resonated with many people who saw it.
The success of each NDP needs to be measured by the confidence it gives to Singaporeans and the unity it engenders. On both these counts, I would give NDP 2022 A+. It was also because Singaporeans wanted to come out and be together. This fight with the virus is not yet over. The world today is a more unpredictable and dangerous place with war on the European continent, and rising tensions in Asia. Just as in the past, life for Singapore and Singaporeans will be filled with challenges and changes ahead. But we face our future together as one people, and we will build a Singapore that is even better.
The Art of Moving as One
It was perfection in motion during the Parade and Ceremony segment as about 2,000 participants from the various military and civilian contingents participated in the dignified ceremonial parade physically at The Float and virtually.
