Breaking Ground on the Future Big changes are underway at the Greensboro Science Center as construction progresses on Expedition Rainforest: The Greensboro Biodome + Aquatic Rehabilitation & Conservation Center (ARCC)!

Last week, we bid farewell to the Discovery House, a beloved space that introduced generations of guests to the wonders of insects, reptiles, and small mammals.

For nearly 20 years, the Discovery House served as a cornerstone for hands-on learning and exploration. Its demolition marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, paving the way for our most ambitious expansion yet. The Biodome and ARCC will offer an immersive rainforest experience and a state-of-the-art animal care facility. We look forward to sharing more updates as this transformational project takes shape!
