As we reach the end of another year and reflect on the beauty of the Christmas story, we’re reminded of its profound message of hope and restoration. At Christmas, we often see the contrasts in our world: while some celebrate with abundance, others long for warmth, companionship, or the simplest of gifts. But this season also reminds us that hope shines brightest in the darkest moments, and love has the power to transform lives.
Every day, we have the privilege of offering the incredible gift of a home and the chance to experience faith and belonging. It’s a joy to see lives changed, and we have so much to celebrate from this year. Together, we’ve shown what can be achieved through compassion, stewardship, and teamwork.
Of course, challenges remain, but they do not define us. This team continues to inspire with its resilience, hard work, and unwavering commitment to helping one more person. You are part of something extraordinary—a mission that brings light and hope to those who need it most.
The Christmas story reminds us why we do this: through grace, we have the opportunity to bring hope, love, and joy to the world around us. Let’s carry that hope into the new year, remaining eager to keep making a difference.
Thank you for everything you’ve done as part of this amazing team. Wishing you a joyful, peaceful, and hope-filled Christmas!

FOR UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN, UNTO US A SON IS GIVEN, AND THE GOVERNMENT WILL BE UPON HIS SHOULDERS. AND HE WILL BE CALLED WONDERFUL COUNSELOR, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, PRINCE OF PEACE. OF THE INCREASE OF HIS GOVERNMENT AND PEACE THERE WILL BE NO END. HE WILL REIGN ON THE THRONE OF DAVID AND OVER HIS KINGDOM, TO ESTABLISH AND SUSTAIN IT WITH JUSTICE AND RIGHTEOUSNESS FROM THAT TIME AND FOREVERMORE.

OUR TEAM FOCUS: 2024
Achieve our heart’s desire to change lives and transform hearts.
Stewardship
Everything we do we want to do diligently, as though we are doing it for God himself.
A question we can ask: What would I do if I owned the place?
Faith
We want to encourage each other to grow in faith in Christ, showing proper respect, value and love to those who do not share our faith.
A question we can ask: What does love require of me?
We want to be in step with what God is calling us to do each day. We are dependent upon his provision and guidance. Jesus said he could only do what he saw the father doing and it Is the same for us.
A question we can ask: What do I need to do differently?
OUR CULTURE
OUR CULTURE
Our first role is, and always will be, to serve. We want to lead passionately and strategically, but first and foremost we want to serve the men and women who we house and partner with, and our goal will always be to give people the opportunity to know Christ for themselves. In all that we do we want people to look at us and say “those guys are a gift to the Spirit.”

TRUSTING TOGETHER WORKING HARD STAYING HUMBLE
TRUSTING TOGETHER WORKING HARD STAYING HUMBLE
We aim to remain Kingdom focused and prayerful in every decision. To serve Jesus, we have to know who we are in Him first. We work together, as part of God’s family; we work hard, knowing that we are ultimately working for Him; and we stay humble, because it’s not about any one of us - but about serving Jesus.

Thanks so much to all of you who have shared our Christmas video. So far the film has been viewed more than 300,000 times across platforms. We’ve also had more than 700 churches download our Christmas resource pack.
Here’s a section of the prayer for homelessness, which is part of the resource pack:
As we gather in this season, we are reminded of the hope that begins with the birth of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Just as the prophets foretold His coming, we celebrate the fulfilment of Your promise of Emmanuel, God with us. We thank You for the gift of Jesus, the hope of the world, who came to dwell among us.
As we journey through this season, fill our hearts with Your peace and compassion. Let us be vessels of Your love, inviting Christ to make His home in our hearts.

Team Spotlight
Across our different Departments, we love to shine a light on some of our amazing team members across different departments, and today we meet Nathan Kay, from the GP Southport team.
Hi Nat, when did you join GP?
I joined GP in August of 2022. I attended a conference run at my local church where the main speaker Richard Coekin (Dundonald Church) who was praising the work of Green Pastures. Amazed and encouraged by the work being done by GP I was praying for the organisation at that event and ran into a friend who found there was a vacancy, and the rest is history! What’s your role within the team and what do you enjoy most about it? My role is as a Pastoral Support to a group of 40 guys in Southport who we house. Everyday looks different! From working on benefit forms to helping them reconnect with their families all from a lens of bringing the most important message to their lives that Jesus loves them died for them and now they can join in this kingdom!
What’s a fun or interesting fact about yourself that others may not know? I lived in university halls when I was 10 years old! My family were hit by the housing crash of 2008, so I spent a few years of my childhood living with university students whilst my dad worked two jobs to keep us on our feet! What’s one project or accomplishment that you’re most proud of? For me, seeing people reach their goals. One man, once surrounded by police and ready to give up, now has his family back, attends college, and prays daily to Jesus. Another, a veteran who thought the world had forgotten him, now proudly wears his medals and serves faithfully at a Foodbank, finding purpose in Jesus. It’s hard work, but the transformation is worth it!
How do you contribute most towards changing lives? Ultimately, I can only point to the truth—it’s the Holy Spirit who transforms lives. My role is to share God’s Word, pray, and be a friend to the lost, remembering when I felt lost too. Sometimes, one person’s belief in you sparks faith in something greater. For me, that’s Jesus—my true Hope and pasture anew. If you could be a character from any film or book, who would you be? It would have to be Gandalf from Lord of the Rings! Being the wise voice of reason leading the fellowship on their way through life! If you had one wish about how people across GP interact with your department, what would it be? Pray, Pray, Pray. Regularly we meet to pray for each other and for the organisation we can’t do it without Jesus so please keep us in your thoughts as you talk and walk through your own ministries! The power of prayer is miraculous let’s use it daily!
