Our patrons spent the afternoon with State Senator Bill Cunningham at The Plant, Chicago’s vertical farming facility in June of this year. We learned about the different agricultural practices, how farming practices are becoming more innovative, and how these new techniques are better for the environment and us. We want to give a big thank you to the Friends of the Library for underwriting this trip and providing our patrons with this educational opportunity.
