FROM THE DIRECTOR Our programming staff have been busy putting together great virtual programs and wonderful take-home craft kits for you during the winter months. While we have all been practicing social distancing, many of my friends and family have been hosting virtual trivia nights via Zoom. It has been a fun way to stay connected. If this sounds like something you’re interested in, consider attending the Library’s Trivia Night on Zoom where you’ll have the chance to win a gift card to local coffee shop Strange Brew Cafe. It wouldn’t be the winter season at the Library without our Annual Winter Reading Program. Our last reading program in the summer was a huge success for our first time going entirely virtual. For those who want to participate but don’t know how, our staff are more than happy to help you. The Winter Reading Program runs from January 18 through February 20 and is open to all ages. With the harsh weather upon us, we realize that getting around can be problematic. If you don’t have a Library card, you can instantly register and gain immediate access to all of our online resources without having to leave the comfort of your own home. And if you are experiencing winter weather distress, or simply just don’t want to leave the house, don’t forget our Doorside Delivery service – we will deliver your Library materials on hold directly to your home free of charge. For more information, visit greenhillslibrary.org. As we get ready to say goodbye to 2020 and hello to 2021, I know we are all hoping that next year will be better for everyone, everywhere. Many of us have faced challenges this year, both professionally and personally, and I am extremely grateful to all our staff for their continued efforts to make your Library experience safe and rewarding. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! Jane Jenkins jjenkins@greenhillslibrary.org
