The camp engages our campers through inquiry based and multi-sensorylearning,and helps campers becomeempowered in their learning. Campers will discover the alphabet in everyday life! An alphabet scavenger hunt, building an alphabet fort, and scenario-based skits will help our campers gain critical thinking skills. Our first day begins with a stuff-n-fluff activity by hand stuffing a new friend that can help campers with their learning. Campers will play games, enjoy storytelling, sing songs and engage in team building. Stuffing one more special friend brings our adventurous alphabet journeytoa close.

AR/VR WIZARDS: ANIMATION & GAMING FUN GRADES 1-4

Augmented Reality, or AR, let us see the real-life environment right in front of us—trees swaying in the park, dogs chasing balls, kids playing soccer—with a digital augmentation overlaid on it. In this course students explore the creation of virtual tours, storytelling, games and simulations. The beauty of this approach is that it allows for creativity and coding in multiple dimensions (3D, voiceover, music, video etc.). There is no limit to what one can create!

BARNYARD PALOOZA

Off to Greenhill's Farm we go! Kids will jump in the pig pen, run in the chicken coop and rest in the haystack. We will explore various farm animals like pigs, sheep, and horses, discovering how they contribute to our lives. Our activities include interactive songs, games, math, and arts & crafts. BASKETBALL CAMP GRADES 1-4

OurBasketballCampisbasedonafewsimplephilosophies.We believe athletes should enjoy a lot of game play—each camper has three league games per day. Students need to have a basketball in their hands frequently—our campers have two sessions of ballhandlinganddribble-move work daily. Campers will receive focused daily instruction on two major fundamentals, rather than scratching the surface with multiple fundamentals, to create more positive results. In addition to game play, our campers participated in an individual skills contest and ina weeklong team skills competition.

BIKING & RECREATIONAL SWIMMING-ALL SKILL LEVELS

GRADES 1-6

Ready to improve your biking skills? Beginner or intermediate cyclists are welcome. We will divide campers into appropriate groups depending on your skill level. This camp will teach you skills above your current level as we ride on paths around Greenhill’s78-acrecampusandAddisontrailsinthesurrounding area. Each day we will take time to cool off and have fun in our indoor pool. Flotation belts will be provided for students unable to swim 25 yards. We will work to improve our stopping, turning, braking, balance, and riding skills. Campers will need a bike and helmet, water bottle, snack, swimsuit, optional goggles, and a towel. Bikes will be locked each day and stored on campus. We encourage beginner campers to come without training wheels.

Campers will be divided by age and ability to compete with and against each other. Each day will include ball handling, focused instruction on two major fundamentals, an individual contest, a team contest and 3 game periods. WHAT COMES FIRST—THE CHICKEN OR THE EGG?

If you love animals and are interested in science, you will enjoy this unit on chickens. This in-depth study of eggs and chickens will answer questions such as: How long does it take a chicken eggtohatch?Canbabychicksbreatheinsidetheegg?Whatisan incubator? What is an egg tooth? You will trace the egg from the farm to your kitchen table using hands-on activities, crafts, games, and experiments. YOGA AND MEDITATION GRADES

Yoga and Meditation is designed to help each practitioner understandthedirectrelationshiptohealthandexercisethrough the whole body and mind, while collectively zoning in on their artistic side. This beginner class will establish a solid foundation for the practice of yoga and instill confidence through artistic practice. Campers will practice physical poses (asanas) and meditative movement, and then later take that focus obtained through yoga and apply it to their art. We will practice yoga salutations to increase heart rate and then cool down through gentle counter balancing stretches to build strength and flexibility. This class will aim to promote inner calm and focus, while providing a safe haven to relaxand have fun!
