Pete’s General; The Original Pete

mean, abs are great, but bagels are better! First stop, is a tried and true staple of the Burg- St. Pete Bagel Co. on 4th Street. This place definitely holds the nostalgia value for me. I can remember bagels and cream cheese at Grandma’s house after Church as a kid. Let me tell y’all, they are still as delicious as I remember. Try the Lox Sandwich on a toasted onion bagel with chive cream cheese, tomato, and sprouts. Brownie points if you can take a bite of a double stack! Our next stop, Pete’s General, is now rocking two locations: the original in Uptown and the newer Grand Central stop. Pop in early on weekends because they will sell out! I’m not going to lie, it’s difficult to stray from the Original Pete with lox, capers, dill, cucumbers, and pickled onions.
