Why choose organic?
Fair trade is about being fair to the people we trade with. That means that everyone in the supply chain, from the cotton farmers to the pattern cutters can bank on the fact that we will support them, that they will be paid a fair wage, enjoy tea breaks, proper sanitation and work in pleasant and clean environments. it also means that we pay them the kind of prices for their products that enable them to plan for their families and future.
Green Baby partners
We produce all of our organic clothing at Assisi garments in association with senseorganics in South india, a member of the World Fair Trade organization. This community project, managed by the Sisters of Assisi, runs a school for deaf girls and the organic clothing factory was set up to provide jobs for them when they finish their education. it now provides them with a place to live, all their meals and a fair wage. All of the cotton we use has been certified 100% organic by goTS (global organic Textile Standard) which is an internationally recognised governing body working to guarantee the integrity of organic agriculture. 2

Pesticide free and eczema
Conventionally grown cotton is one of the most destructive crops grown in the world today, with two to nine applications of insecticides sprayed on a typical conventional cotton crop each season. green Baby clothing is made of 100% organic cotton, certified by goTS to be grown without the use of any pesticides which may irritate your baby’s delicate skin and baby eczema.
Reduce, re-use and recycle
over 80% of the environmental impact of clothing comes from the manufacturing process. At green Baby we try to minimise the impact we make at manufacturing stage by using only environmentally friendly processes. our dyes are free from harmful heavy metals, the card we use is recycled and our clothing is delivered in reusable bags. We endeavour to only sea ship our clothing.

Baby wipes
The best baby wipe for both your baby and the environment is an organic washable wipe. You can also make your own washable wipes by cutting a muslin square into eight pieces and use them with a homemade solution or water. Tushies versus an ordinary disposable nappy Many parents are genuinely unaware of the chemical gels that a regular disposable nappy contains, as the manufacturers are not obliged to list the ingredients on the packaging. Regular disposables contain little white granules. These are acrylic acid polymer salts. Put the granules in water and watch them turn to gel. Contrast this with a Tushies nappy, cut one of these open, and you will see nothing but cotton and wood-pulp fluff. With their natural cotton blend, Tushies nappies offer parents a more reassuring choice for their babies, as well as all the performance and ease they expect from a disposable – but without the chemical gel. Tushies nappies are perfumefree, dye-free and latex-free. And feature nonchlorine- bleached wood-pulp. Although the cotton and other components of Tushies are whitened, the process used is not environmentally harmful.
eco disposables, biodegradability and composting Unfortunately, there is currently no such thing as a truly biodegradable disposable nappy. Sheepskin Sheepskins have natural insulating properties and keep baby warm in winter and cool in summer. Sheepskin is naturally antibacterial and will absorb moisture.
