Welcome to the first edition of our Green Baby fashion catalogue for Autumn/Winter 2009. After 10 years of producing and selling organic cotton baby clothing we felt it was high time we produced a catalogue to celebrate our fantastic award winning clothing designs. We are very proud of our new collection which combines all of our ethics, Organic and fairly traded, with the latest styles for babies and toddlers. With new fabrics like velour and brushed sweat we are sure there is something for everyone. For those who prefer the natural look we also have our organic cotton basics and our popular farm print range. Our award winning skincare is as popular as ever and we are proud to say that we have now converted even more of our skincare to Soil Association certification standards. This year, Green Baby were delighted and honoured to win Prima Baby’s 2009 Award for ‘best eco fashion range’.
And we were also of course, absolutely delighted for our in house designer Nicola, (pictured here on the left) who joined Green Baby after the birth of her first daughter Amy, six years ago.
It was great to receive the recognition for our fair trade project in India who have been producing our range of clothing for the past 10 years.

Ecologically-sound fashion At Green Baby, we create beautiful clothes and accessories. We are passionate about design, and spend hours experimenting with new colours and fabrics, inspired by the trends predicted for each new season. Most importantly though, we work hard to ensure that when designing our organic cotton garments, the production methods have minimal impact on the environment. All of our fabrics are dyed using safe, natural low impact dyes, and all of our printed fabrics are created using water based printing methods.
We also ensure that our trims are safe for babies too. We always use high quality nickel-free zips and poppers. All of our clothing is produced using 100% organic cotton. We believe that organic is best, because it has not been treated with any pesticides which means it’s kinder to baby’s delicate skin, healthier for the farmers and for the women who produce our clothing at the fair trade project Assisi Garments, in Tamil Nadu, India. Our dyes are free from harmful heavy metals, the card we use is recycled and our clothing is delivered in reusable bags. We endeavour to only sea ship our clothing. The only UK manufacturer using chrome-free leather, Daisy Roots exceed British Standards requirement to pass BS EN71-3:1994 - the only baby shoe manufacturer to offer this quality standard. The natural, soft, chrome-free leather shoes protect little feet and allow them to breathe and grow naturally. The natural approach A baby’s delicate skin is the baby’s largest organ and a natural barrier; not only does it protect the internal organs and act as a highly effective screen against germs, it is responsible for controlling body temperature and preventing excessive water loss. We have endeavoured to source as many organic ingredients as we can for these products and we will only claim that something is organic if we have the certification from a recognised authority. A rich blend of sweet almond oil, organic olive oil, cocoa butter and beeswax acts as a daily barrier cream. Apply after each nappy change to moisturise. Essential oils of organic lavender and roman chamomile protect against the causes of nappy rash and help prevent soreness.
Our award winning petroleumfree jelly is an essential product for both you and your baby. Made with coconut oil, shea butter, beeswax and organic olive oil, this effective protectant also soothes and moisturises dry skin. Perfect for the whole family, (it’s a great lipsalve too!).
