Our Mission and Vision
Mission: Great River Educational Arts Theatre (GREAT) brings the community together through shared theatre experiences.
Vision: We ensure everyone in central Minnesota will have access to the transformative power of the arts.
GREAT Theatre is a 501c3 non-profit. Ticket sales and camp registrations only cover 60% of our operating budget. Sponsorships and donations help cover the additional costs to ensure everyone in our community has access to theatre. We rely on the generosity of businesses and philanthropists in our community to help us close these gaps.

Located in Waite Park, the Helgeson Learning Lab Theatre seats 140 people and brings audiences closer to the stories being told.

Our annual audience exceeds 60,000 people. 35 to 64-year-old women make up our primary demographic and entire families attend our shows; from pre-K kids to great-great-grandparents! More than 1,800 youth attend our summer camps.
