Thank You! 2013 has been a GREAT year for Springfield’s tourism industry! Our local hotel occupancy rate is up more than 11 percent over 2012 and our attractions are reporting some of their best attendance numbers since prior to the economic recession. The Greater Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau is honored to have received a total of 16 awards for marketing excellence this year – 11 MIDDY Awards from the OACVB, and five RUBY Awards from the OTA. We were privileged to host the 2013 Ohio Association of Convention & Visitors Bureau’s Annual Educational Conference, and will be welcoming the Ohio Conference on Tourism to Springfield for the first time in 2014. Of course none of this would be possible without our local tourism partners. It is our local attractions, events, hotels, meeting venues, performances, historic sites and restaurants that make Springfield a unique place to visit.
