Founded in 1966, the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce has served the Southern Hillsborough County area for 57 years, working together with local businesses to drive economic development and community involvement for a vibrant and prosperous future.

ADVOCACY COMMUNITY

As the largest collective force in the area, the Chamber can have a mighty voice with local, state, and federal policy makers.

The Chamber maintains good relationships with elected officials and county departments so that we can advocate for our membership and community. While you are busy running your business, the Chamber monitors, researches, and informs on issues that affect you, your business, and the community.

The Chamber of Commerce is a group of individuals, businesses, and organizations who volunteer their time to help improve the socioeconomic climate of their community.

Join the Military Affairs Committee, which is dedicated to honoring and serving our community in South Hillsborough County.

Volunteer! There are many opportunities throughout the year to volunteer, whether it is helping in the GRCC office or during a Chamber event.

Taking Care of Business (TCOB) - Specifically geared to networking, this is a weekly event offering unique opportunities for relationship building and marketing. Committees, sponsorship opportunities, ambassadors, hosts, volunteers . . . all opportunities to meet other business owners and leaders.

If a company shows that it is highly involved in its local chamber, consumers are 12% more likely to think that its products stack up better against its competition. When consumers know that a restaurant franchise is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, they are 40% more likely to eat at the franchise in the next few months. Upon joining the Chamber, you will receive a plaque to prominently display at your business showcasing your Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce membership, and you may request a GRCC decal for your vehicles, windows, or more!

EDUCATION

With over 30 public and charter schools in the Riverview area, along with many private learning institutions, Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce strongly believes in partnering with and supporting our community educators and strives to encourage our business leaders to do so through these avenues:

Continuing Education Social Media recognition

Programs

Weekly networking group, meeting every Thursday from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM at Summerfield Crossings Gold Club, with occasional business field trips to other destinations - check our GRCC calendar for field trip dates! Every attendee shares a short blurb about self and business (60 sec). TCOB members may be the featured speaker once a year. Visitors may attend twice without membership.

TCOB's evening version, meeting once a month on the second Tuesday evening of the month at 5:00 PM. New location each month, so be sure to check the GRCC calendar for location. For TCOB members only. Visitors may attend twice without membership.

Monthly Membership Meeting typically occurring on the 4th Tuesday of each month, except December when there is no meeting due to the holidays.

Networking and food service from 11:15/11:30 AM until noon. Meeting officially begins at noon. Seating is limited, therefore registration with payment is required in advance to guarantee seating.

LEAD is designed to help individuals improve their leadership skills, build their network, and advance their careers/businesses. This group is open to GRCC business owners and professionals at all levels from all industries who are passionate about developing their leadership potential.

The Ambassadors are a team of responsible professionals who dedicate their time to promote the Greater Riverview business community and support the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce (GRCC). I found no value in my membership.

I don't have time to get involved.

Being a member of the Chamber does not mean you have to attend every event. Log into your Member Portal

Completely fill out your company information. This information is what will be seen by consumers searching our Business Directory, so don’t forget your business hours, directions, and full contact information.

If you are an Enhanced or higher Investor, be sure to take advantage of uploading photos! This is YOUR ad - make the most of it!

Include your staff in the membership - add them as reps. The Chamber offers a variety of opportunities that will benefit employees throughout your organization.

Select your benefit choices and start using them right away

For Enhanced or higher, if you are unsure, visit TCOB and attend a Monthly luncheon to see if it is something you want to do regularly.

Attend the next Investor360 Meeting to get an in depth look at all of the opportunities available to you as a Chamber Member

Make Connections

Consider joining a committee, volunteer, and attend networking meetings, luncheons, and Ribbon Cuttings to become more plugged in.

Use the Chamber’s Marketing Tools
