


On behalf of the Board and Staff of the Greater Gulf State Fair, I’d like to thank you for attending the 2023 Miss Greater Gulf State Fair Pageant! The Fair is excited to continue a new tradition with this event We look forward to a great Fair this year!
We hope that through this pageant we can empower the young ladies to shine their best and brightest! Age division winners will have the opportunity to represent one of the Mobile Jaycees’ biggest events.

2022 Tiny Miss Greater Gulf State Fair is Charlotte Peacock! She is the daughter of Chris and Ereka Peacock and attends Belforest Elementary School Charlotte loves cheerleading, going to the beach, and hanging out with Marley James A fun fact about Charlotte is that she’s saving all of her money to buy a pet Peacock! Her favorite movie is Forrest Gump and wants to be a mom when she grows up

2022 Little Miss Greater Gulf State Fair is Ainsleigh Flowers! She is the daughter of Kaila Felder and attends Agricola Elementary School She enjoys singing, learning to play the violin, and gymnastics Ainsleigh loves math and science and even helps her classmates when they have trouble learning it Her favorite color is pink and her favorite food is cheese dip! When she grows up, she wants to be a veterinarian

022 Junior Miss Greater Gulf State Fair is Marley James Powell! She is the daughter of Matt and Kari Powell and attends Daphne Middle School Marley loves to tumble, craft, and go offshore fishing with her dad She can do 14 consecutive back handsprings and cheers for the Alabama Crimson Tide Marley’s favorite color is aqua and her favorite food is Filet and Brussel sprouts When she grows up, she wants to be a 6th grade Language Arts teacher or a writer
No stranger to the broadcast industry, she's been in the business for the last five years Although Ariel is in Roll Tide country she is a graduate of the University of Georgia where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in communications
A Georgia native Ariel was born and raised in Albany, Georgia where she first grew her passion for becoming a journalist and had the opportunity to begin her career at her hometown station that she grew up watching
Ariel is also an active community member and currently holds a membership with the National Association of Black Journalists and is a member of High Point Baptist Church in Eight Mile where she serves on the media ministry She is also a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Alabama.
She hopes to become more involved with organizations here in the Port City and build better relationships with the community she's been able to call home for the last two years
Kathryn Carter is a devoted teacher with a passion for education, bringing 15 years of experience to her role as a 2nd-grade teacher She finds immense joy in making a positive impact on her students' lives Kathryn is also a proud mother of two wonderful children: Zac, a 10-year-old attending Collier Elementary, and Jackson, an 18-year-old freshman at the University of South Alabama
Born and raised in Mobile County, Kathryn is deeply rooted in her community She graduated from Davidson High School in Mobile and went on to earn her bachelor's degree from the University of South Alabama Kathryn has been happily married to Jeff for 20 years, and together, they continue to contribute to the fabric of their hometown
Tina is a native Mobilian and proud to call this her home She is currently employed as the Executive Director of SouthWest Mobile County Chamber of Commerce for the past 10 years She prides herself in working to create a Healthy Community for Small Businesses as well as being an advocate for the individuals Since retiring as a teacher, she finds herself helping others in a broader capacity at the Chamber She navigates her day-to-day task with improving the growth and sustainability of businesses on a state and local levels by working with legislators locally and in Montgomery
Tina spends her days inspiring others with her dedication to working with non-profits, the homeless, and high school seniors where she established the Tillman’s Corner Area Learning Leadership Academy She has three grown children: Cody, Hannah, and Jillian and one grandchild She is married to the love of her life; Russ Poiroux She is also the owner of Grand Catering of Mobile and White Willow, a Boutique in West Mobile
