Who was “Dub” Denman?

Family Fun

Natural Beauty Million year old Paleozoic rock formations

William “Dub” Luther Denman, born and raised in Tallapoosa, spent many childhood hours fishing and canoeing The Tallapoosa River and taught his children and grandchildren to love the outdoors. For years he dreamed of developing an established canoe trail so others could experience the river he loved so much. After proposing the idea to the Tallapoosa City Council and obtaining a state grant in 2009 his dream became a reality in 2013. The trail was named after him to honor his over ten years of dedication and hard work.
