Women of the Wilderness – She and Me Minicamp Girl/Adult

Are you ready for an adventure? If so, this session is for you! You and your favorite adult female will decide how you want to spend your weekend at camp! Polar bear dip? Why not! Sunrise hike to Mt. Majestic? You bet! Night games? Love them! Waterfront? Sure thing! Bring your adventurous spirit and get ready for a jam-packed weekend of stellar-ness! Outdoor Initiative: By going to Women of the Wilderness, girls will develop healthy relationships, promote cooperation and team building, and discover a strong sense of self by finding balance in life through utilizing the great outdoors as a resource! more, then top off a dance-tastic day by creating your very own dancing robot to take home. Do you have what it takes to be a Wilderness Warrior? If so, grab your favorite adult male and get ready for an epic weekend at Camp Cloud Rim! We will have a dinner cook-out, then spend the rest of the night learning about and making your own camouflage, learning about nocturnal animals, and playing night games. Wake up early for an optional polar bear dip or a sunshine hike to Mt. Majestic. Spend your day doing activities such as: geocaching, paddling on the lake, hiking, learning to build fires, and so much more! If you love animals—especially birds—and want to explore the ways they impact and help humans, this workshop is for you. The afternoon will be spent working toward earning the Animal Helpers Badge and along the way you will meet some of our most charming birds up close, discover the intimate ties that bind humans to the amazing animals that live all around us and make new friends in the process. Badges may be purchased at any Girl Scout shop. Standard rate is $16 per girl. Adults not accompanying groups of 5 girls or more will be required to pay $7 admission at the door on day of event. Advocacy Initiative: By going to the Tracy Aviary, girls will develop healthy relationships by learning how to coexist with one another and animal habitats. Leading Edge Aviation is a full-service flight school and fixed based operator specializing in helping people fulfill their dream of learning how to fly. As a general aviation community leader, Leading Edge has the goal of getting more women and girls involved and interested in aviation. Leading Edge is thrilled to introduce Girl Scouts to careers in aviation and let them know of the many opportunities available. Participants will also work on part of their Sky Badge. Advocacy Initiative: By going to Careers in Aviation, girls will learn to seek challenges in the world by being inspired to explore Aviation Careers and learn more about flight. Girls will feel empowered to enter this maledominated field and encourage their friends to do the same.
