2 GO GRAPEVINE MAGAZINE

Hello!

I am thrilled to welcome you to the fall edition of Go Grapevine Magazine! After a fun and busy, but very hot summer season, I know we are all looking forward to cooler weather and the abundance of outdoor activities that it brings.

As you look through the magazine, check out our upcoming events that will bring tons of fun for the whole family. I hope to see you singing along to your favorite hits at the Sunset Live! concert series, taking the perfect fall family photo at PumpkinFest and being captivated by the magic of the approaching holiday season at the Carol of Lights Christmas kick-o on Main Street.

Fall is also a fantastic time to get involved in our community through volunteering! Be sure to sign up for the Fall Sweep in September, where we join forces to clean and beautify our parks in support of our community-wide “Litter Ends With Us” campaign. It’s a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community while enjoying the nice outdoor weather with other volunteers.

This season is perfect for exploring the natural beauty of Grapevine. Our trail systems o er endless possibilities for hiking and biking, allowing you to immerse yourself in the stunning scenery and stay active in the process.

I hope you are as excited as I am about the upcoming fall season and take advantage of all that Grapevine Parks and Recreation has in store for you and your family to create lasting memories together.

SEE YOU SOON,

DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE

HEARD IT THROUGH THE GRAPEVINE

Grapevine Parks & Recreation had a thriving summer season, o ering a diverse range of camps, programs, and events that engaged the community. We launched the Litter Ends With Us campaign, emphasizing the importance of cleanliness by actively picking up litter throughout Grapevine. Our sta , council, senior advisory board and park board joined forces for regular cleanups, demonstrating our commitment to maintaining a pristine environment. In addition, we participated in the World’s Largest Swim Lesson, where we provided comprehensive swim safety lessons despite rainy weather. Our dedication to water safety extended to both land and water activities, ensuring the well-being of all participants. Furthermore, during NRPA’s Parks and Recreation Month, we highlighted our exceptional sta through social media campaigns under the theme “Where Community Grows.” Their contributions play a vital role in fostering community development and unity.
