HENDERSON CUP
2025-2026

Announcing The Grapevine Faith Run for the Cup Initiative
We are thrilled to introduce a new school-wide initiative: the Run for the Cup. This program is inspired by the prestigious TAPPS Henderson Cup, an annual award recognizing the top private school (by divisions) in Texas for overall excellence across academics, creative arts, and athletics in grades 9-12th. This initiative is a key part of our strategic plan to strengthen every area of our school.
We aim to encourage students to participate in a wide range of competitions, both in areas where they are already gifted and in new fields they wish to explore. By doing so, we provide additional opportunities for them to learn, grow, and excel, fostering a deep sense of pride in their accomplishments and in our school community.
This focus on comprehensive achievement—from the classroom to the stage to the athletic field—is about more than just points and trophies. It is about building a culture of excellence in all things.
Through this initiative, we will expose students to new challenges and opportunities, helping them discover their passions and develop valuable skills. This well-rounded experience strengthens their character and better prepares them for the opportunities that await them in college and beyond.
Our goal is clear: to become the best private school and open even more doors for our students. Join us on this exciting journey! Let's champion excellence together.

A strong foundation ensures that when our students reach high school, they are not just starting their journey toward excellence—they are continuing it.

Building a Legacy of Excellence Starts Early
You might be thinking, "The Henderson Cup is a high school award. Why does our Run for the Cup initiative matter for my elementary or junior high student?"
It's a fair question, and the answer gets to the very heart of what we want to build at Grapevine Faith: a lasting culture of excellence that begins long before the first high school bell rings.
Championships are not won overnight. They are the result of years of preparation, practice, and passion. By introducing our younger students to the spirit of competition, teamwork, and discovery now, we are laying the essential foundation for their future success. When an elementary student joins the math club or a junior high student tries out for their first play, they are developing the skills and confidence that will one day lead to success in high school competitions and beyond.
Early involvement is about nurturing a love for learning and a healthy competitive spirit. It’s about encouraging students to explore their God-given talents and discover new interests in a supportive environment. These experiences in elementary and junior high are the building blocks for the robust academic, arts, and athletic programs that thrive at the high school level.
A strong foundation ensures that when our students reach high school, they are not just starting their journey toward excellence —they are continuing it.
Every student, at every grade level, is a vital part of our school's identity. By fostering these values early on, we create a seamless pipeline of passionate, skilled, and well-rounded individuals who will carry our tradition of excellence forward. Run for the Cup is more than a high school goal; it's a PreK-12 commitment to empowering every child to reach their full potential.

Our Commitment to Run for the Cup
Grapevine Faith's commitment to this initiative is a direct reflection of our mission: to develop and graduate authentic Christian leaders. We believe that true leadership is cultivated not only in the classroom but also on the stage, on the athletic field, and in every endeavor where students challenge themselves to grow.
Run for the Cup is a strategic priority, representing our pledge to foster a comprehensive culture of excellence across all areas— academics, arts, and athletics. We are dedicated to providing a rich environment where students can discover their God-given talents, develop resilience, and learn the value of teamwork and discipline. By fully supporting the Run for the Cup, we are investing in a framework that provides every student with the opportunity to pursue their passions and explore new interests.

RUN FOR THE CUP: The High School Advantage
Beyond competition, Run for the Cup—is a key part of developing and graduating authentic Christian leaders. By taking part, students show pride in their achievements and challenge themselves to grow in academics, creative arts, and athletics.
Teamwork, discipline, and stepping outside comfort zones are emphasized, building the communication, cooperation, and resilience foundational for faith-driven leadership.
These experiences prepare students not only for college and careers but also for a life of purpose and service, reflecting the values at the heart of our school’s mission.

Partnering for Success | The Parent Role
