Introduction

Most of the people who visit the museum now are tourists from other places, and few locals go. Because the museum displays the local characteristics of brick carving culture, and the local people have been influenced by it since childhood. And the content and works displayed in the museum are not easy to update, and can not attract people to visit multiple times. In this paper, the space interaction design of a brick carving museum in Tianjin is carried out to enrich the exhibition content and form.

BACKGROUND

Tianjin brick carving belongs to one of the eight schools, belonging to the local three traditional crafts, mostly used for house decoration.

Brick theme museum

▎ The proportion of brick kiln museums that have been built in the national museum is 1%

▎ The existing buildings are preserved with brick carvings

THE PROCESS OF BRICK CARVING

Many museums are visited by tourists as hit-and-miss attractions and are rarely repeated by local residents Because the museum displays the local characteristics and the local people have been influenced by it since childhood. The content and works displayed in the museum are not easy to update, and can not attract people to visit multiple times. In this project, the space interaction design of a brick carving museum in Tianjin is carried out to enrich the exhibition content and form

4 With portrait capture, a carve pattern randomly appears on the display board as visitors walk by.

Five arched displays form a section of the corridor where one walks through a history of flames and brick motifs, which like bricks are burned by the flames to react, be sculpted, and ultimately become a finished piece.

Introduction

This project reimagines Tokyo’s graffiti culture, particularly in Takeshita Street, through AI. By transforming graffiti into 3D architectural elements, it explores how this once-marginalized art form can be integrated into urban design. The project examines the balance between cultural preservation, societal acceptance, and the future of urban landscapes.

Phenomenon I

Was takeshita street once a graffiti culture street?.

Until 2021, the roll-up door becomes the medium that divides the two faces of Takeshita-dori. When the shops opened, t he roll-up door opened, and Takeshita-dori became a lovely IP culture street When the shops are proofed and the roll-up door is closed, Takeshitadori becomes a rebellious land.the whole Takeshit Tong in 2017.

Phenomenon II

A civilisation disappeared overnight?

In 2021, all graffiti was wiped out and a period of graffiti culture disappeared.

Phenomenon III

Did the Olympics kill takeshita street?

I n 2021, Tokyo hosts the Olympic Games and a large number of tourists from various countries come to visit the city. For this reason, the government decided to erase the alternative character of Takeshita-dori and leave only the friendly and cute image of Takeshita-dori.

Though the actual scence, we learned that graffiti madness occupied the whole Takeshit Tong in 2017.

PART1-1 PHENOMENON

In 2021, all graffiti was wiped out and a period of graffiti culture disappeared.

PART1-2 QUESTION

What should we make of Tom Takeshita's ‘graffiti’ world? Reclaim it? Change? Or find balance?.

PART2-1 ELEMENT

Graffiti is a visual and spiritual symbol that is directly expressed on the street façade of Takeshita-dori, and the project proposes to use graffiti as an element to carry the graffiti culture of Takeshita-dori, which used to be characterized by its individuality, and its “sense of individuality”.

Applications of AR

1 AR-assisted graffiti allow graffiti to transcend the 2D plane, presenting in 3D on building surfaces that evolve with user interaction and changes in time or perspective.

Additionally, AR enhances live art performances by bringing virtual artworks into 3D as users interact with them.

2 People can explore the building through AR interaction in the game, which includes various areas such as exhibition spaces, creation zones, and interactive spaces.

In the future, countless exciting stories are bound to unfold within these spaces.
