THE ALTERNATIVE is an Industrial project for Writer final Thesis. This project was inspired from the issue of plastic waste in INDONESIA especially in JAKARTA, It took almost 1 year to write and design this project. I hope this book will help the reader especially for Architect, Interior designer and others so we can help our world to study PLASTIC WASTE RECYCLING process and more!
DESCRIPTION
Each day, DKI Jakarta Produce around 7,2 ton Waste
Organic waste became the highest volume
The issue of waste is a problem that occurs throughout the world. A study published in the journal Science, revealed that there are 24-34 million metric tons of plastic pollution entering the marine environment every year. That’s around 11% of the world’s total plastic waste.
Researchers say the situation will probably get worse in the next decade. It is estimated that the number will increase to 53-90 million tons in 2030, reported by IFL Science.

The Museum of Space Available (MOSA) is a new world gallery and circular design centre. Located physically in Bali, Indonesia. Connected globally through a Web 3.0 ecosystem.
MOSA is a platform for archiving future possibilities. It showcases the works of Space Available Studios and a community of artists, designers and scientists specialising in bio-innovation, radical recycling, upcycling and future craft.
The space also houses an Upcycling Bar and Recycling Stations offering free repair services for all space available customers, keeping our goods within a circular system.

CONCEPT
This concept is taken from the systems and methods in the Plastic Waste Recycling Industry Project into Houseware in Jakarta. In the recycling stage, plastic waste becomes more useful things such as furniture and other equipment.

MACHINES
Shredder
The Shredder cuts plastic items into small flakes ready to be turned into new things by the other machines.
The shredded plastic can be of multiple sizes and colours to increase its value.
Extrusion
Extrusion is a continuous process where plastic flakes are inserted into the hopper and extruded into a line of plastic.
These lines can be used to make new raw material, granulated plastic, spun around a mould, or used in your own creative ways.
RECYCLING PROCESS
MACHINES
Injection
Plastic flakes are heated and injected into a mould. It’s a relatively quick process well suited for creating productions of small objects.
You can make the moulds using CNC mills or lathes, or by simply welding them.
Compression
Plastic is heated inside the oven and slowly pressed into a mould with a carjack. Well suited for making larger objects, this machine is great for prototyping but not good for production.

RIGID FRAME STRUCTURE
A rigid frame structure is a structure that consists of linear elements, such as columns and beams whose ends are connected by joints (connection points) which are rigid or rigid, in contrast to post-and-beam structures whose connection points are joints or rolls. Lateral action on the frame causes bending, shear forces and axial forces on all elements (beams and columns). The bending moment due to the lateral will reach a maximum at the cross section near the connection point.

The building marked in blue is the gallery building which is included in the PUBLIC zone, then the management office building is included in the SEMI-PRIVATE zone where visitors can still carry out activities in this zone for custom orders and as guests of the manager. Then finally there are industrial buildings which are included in the PRIVATE zone where only workers, staff and managers can enter this zone.
