has sung leading roles worldwide and made his debut this season at Marinsky, St Petersburg as Canio and at the Bolshoi as Calaf. Other opera this season includes Calaf Turandot, Radames Aida (Hamburg), Calaf (Deutsche Oper Berlin), Canio Pagliacci (Naples). In 2010, he made his Met debut as Dick Johnson Fanciulla del West and at Edinburgh Festival. Besides his signature role Otello, other recent performances include Andrea Chenier (Tokyo), Enzo Grimaldo Gioconda (Madrid), Calaf (Barcelona), Luigi (Teatro Colon) and Des Grieux Manon Lescaut (Las Palmas).
