The Grange Golf Club uniquely features two of Australia’s finest 18-hole championship courses.
Learn more about the East Course and West Course
EAST COURSE
The ‘East’ course was completely redeveloped by Greg Norman Golf Course Design in 2012.
Featuring a strategic design routed over land that occupies slightly flatter ground on the front nine, then transitions into some of the best golfing land on the property on the back nine. Many tee shots ask players to make a decision on the line they wish to take, as challenging bunkers and native areas off the tee will offer the premium line into greens. The greens are set seamlessly into surrounding undulations and highlighted by swales ready to challenge anything but the most accurate approach shots.
WEST COURSE
The ‘West’ course has changed dramatically since it was first opened in 1927. The course underwent a major redesign in 2007 managed by Mike Clayton Golf Designs, and enjoys wide corridors that are perfectly suited for strategic golf holes. This is further highlighted by the quality of the vegetation throughout the course, with Callitris and Monterey Pines lining the fairways and open native grass areas adding to the feel of the roughs and expansive sandy wastes. The course utilises an interesting set of green complexes that encourage players to not only be more accurate with their irons, but determine the best half of the fairway to approach from.

Our History.
The Grange Golf Club has a long and storied history in Australian golf.
HISTORY
Established in 1926, The Grange Golf Club is set on an area known as the Pinery Estate, after local golfers met to discuss and draw up plans for the formation of a golf club. A Committee was elected and soon members began works on construction of the course.
Play commenced in 1927 on thriteen holes, the beginnings of the now ‘West’ course.
In 1956, Vern Morcom, a Golf Architect, was commissioned to redesign the course. As well as alterations to most fairways, 18 greens and 18 tees were completely renewed.
In 1967, Vern Morcom was called in yet again to design a completely new course. The ‘East’ course, as it was to be known, opened in May.
TOURNAMENTS
The Grange Golf Club has hosted many major international tournaments, most recently including Adelaide’s record-breaking LIV Golf tournament in 2023 and 2024. The inaugural event was named the World’s Best Golf Event of the Year 2023, at the World Golf Awards. LIV Golf Adelaide will be held at The Grange until 2026.
The Club hosted the Women’s Australian Open in 2016 and 2019, which saw Nelly Korda victorious, adding to her family’s impressive sports pedigree.
In 1976 the West Lakes Classic was played at The Grange, and it is now a part of golfing history that Greg Norman’s first major tournament win was on the East Course.
