February 2015 Edition

Dear Friends, There is SO much happening at First Church! In past congregations that I have served, January and February are sort of ‘Blah!’ months, at least programmatically. As you will read in Eric Strand’s article, our Celebration of the Arts emphasis in February is extraordinary. You will want to pay special attention to all that Eric writes so that you can be a part of one of the most outstanding artistic opportunities offered by any congregation in West Michigan. I want to say a word about my brother in Christ, Neil Davis. Neil and I served together as District Superintendents for four years. We spent a lot of time together doing the work of ministry. I think the world of Neil and welcome him as our pulpit guest on Sunday, February 8.
