The kids finally finished breakfast and are now fighting while getting dressed, my coffee is getting cold, and I can’t find a pen to write with because someone has hidden them.

Hunting high and low I finally find one. Now what did I need the pen for?

Oh yeah, our offering envelope! Where did I leave the checkbook? The checkbook has been found. Gather everyone into the car for the ride to church. Now maybe I can have a minute or two to myself to get ready to go… and write that check. Then I think to myself, “There has to be an easier way to give to God!” This won’t help to get everyone ready to go out the door, but maybe it will save me a hassle on Sunday mornings…

What is Electronic Funds Transfer?

The term Electronic Funds Transfer, often called simply, “EFT,” includes transfer of funds initiated through computer for the purpose of authorizing a financial institution to debit or credit an account. Many at First Church are already taking advantage of being able to handle their giving through Electronic Funds Transfer. You can authorize First Church to automatically withdraw your contribution from your checking or savings account.

How do I sign up?

Complete the enrollment form included in this brochure, including account information and a voided check, and place it in the offering plate, bring it to the church office, or mail it to the church office.

How often are withdrawals made?

You may choose to have funds withdrawn biweekly or monthly.

Is my information secure & confidential?

First Church can withdraw funds from your account only with your authorization.

Transactions are governed by strict guidelines.

First Church is committed to keeping your personal account information in the highest confidence.

What are the benefits?

No cost to the church, which presents a savings over credit cards.

No cost to the donor for using EFT. Giving continues on a predictable, regular basis.
