The Grand Park Sports Campus is the cornerstone of our strategy to make Westfield a premier destination for youth sports and families. The park continues to exceed projections and its economic impact benefits our local businesses.
The 400-acre sports campus features a full range of championship-level outdoor facilities for baseball, softball and field sports including soccer, football, field hockey and lacrosse. The Grand Park Events Center, our indoor sports facility and convention space, accommodates year-round play and corporate events. Grand Park also serves as the official home of the Indianapolis Colts Training Camp as well as the year-round training facility for Indy Eleven, USL professional soccer team.
As a city, Westfield strives to promote a safe and welcoming atmosphere. Named one of the “Top Ten Places to Raise a Family” by Family Circle Magazine, Westfield consistently ranks among the best places to live in Indiana and the country.
While you’re here, I hope you will visit our downtown and explore our newest public space, Grand Junction Plaza. Nearby, you’ll find great local restaurants, pubs and shops to fill your free time with a unique Westfield experience. Visit westfield.in.gov to learn more about our city.
Thank you again for visiting Grand Park and the Westfield community. We hope you’ll be back often.
Sincerely,
Andy Cook | MayorGRAND PARK SPORTS CAMPUS STAFF

Safety is our top priority at Grand Park and has been since the inception of the campus. While times have changed in light of the recent pandemic, our focus has not. We have increased and enhanced all safety protocols across campus to ensure the wellbeing of all athletes and visitors.
Grand Park works closely with Westfield Police and Fire on a daily basis to ensure they are well-informed of campus activity and prepared for any emergency. Public safety personnel are onsite during large events with additional members readily available to respond nearby.
Grand Park has 14 AEDs located throughout the park in the case of a cardiac emergency, and provides training in CPR and AED use to all campus employees.
“As a premier destination for youth sports, we place safety at the forefront,” said Westfield Mayor Andy Cook. “The investment in onsite AEDs and the continued training of our staff and partner organizations further reinforces that commitment.”
One of our top priorities at the Grand Park Sports Campus is safety. We have gone to great lengths to seek the most accurate and preventative weather alert system in the country –which has led us to Thor Guard.
Thor Guard is an automated weather alert system that monitors incoming threats based on the electricity level in the air. It is used by some of the top universities, stadiums and sports complexes in the country.
Thor Guard connects to our existing weather alert system (i.e., campus sirens and lights) and is automatically activated when Thor Guard confirms we have reached a Red Alert. When the weather alert system is activated, it is mandatory that ALL VISITORS seek shelter in their vehicles or off-site.
Alert Levels for Reference:
• ALL CLEAR – Area is safe.
• CAUTION – Be alert, the atmosphere may be in flux.
• WARNING – The energy is changing in the atmosphere, but it may be passing by.
• RED ALERT – Safety is compromised.
While the technology behind Thor Guard is impressive, it is only impactful with the participation of our visitors. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
THANK YOU for adhering to all safety guidelines while at Grand Park for the benefit of you and those around you!

After working his way through the ranks at Grand Park Sports Campus, Matt Trnian concluded his first year as the Director of the 400-acre sports campus in 2022. Beginning his tenure in 2014 as an intern for the then operator of the park, Matt never realized how his golf cart cleaning days would one day lead him to his current position.
“I am grateful for the mentors I have in my life to help push me to where I am” Trnian said.
Now with 9 years under his belt at Grand Park Sports Campus, Matt looks forward to the future of the park. “The world of youth sports tourism is ever changing; we are excited to continue learning, growing, and evolving this park to be the greatest facility in the nation.”
His love of sports began at young age both as a participant and a spectator; and later in life as a coach. Trnian is a graduate of Kent State University’s Sports Management program. He enjoys life with his wife and three beautiful children residing in Hamilton County. His faith, family and love of a good ball game make Matt a happy man!
