Green Building Index (GBI)

Green Building Index (GBI) is Malaysia's first comprehensive green building rating tool. GBI is an environmental rating system for buildings developed by Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia (PAM), or Malaysian Institute of Architects, and Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (ACEM).

Since year 2012, the hotel has garnered the certification for GBI and has sustained the certification status with a renewal audit every three years.

Green Housekeeping

Part of the hotel’s housekeeping conservation practice is to replace towels and linens only when requested. For instance, towels that are hung up by guests, unless visibly wet and dirty, will not be replaced, but only when they are le on the floor.

Upon check-in, guests will be asked on housekeeping service preference for necessary arrangements in advance. This is because some guests may not be needing daily housekeeping service, particularly long stay guests.

These housekeeping practices continuously help in reducing water and usage of cleaning chemicals that are o en utilized for rooms, towels and linens.
