Dishwashing Efficiency  Reducing Single-use Plastic

To control the dishwashing needs of the hotel's busy F&B operations, the hotel has installed a Meiko dishwashing machine together with three Ecolab SMARTPOWER Dishmachine Detergent to enhance a speedier turnover time for all cooking utensils, equipment and crockeries used daily.

Ecolab SMARTPOWER Dishmachine Detergent is a concentrated formula with a powerful chemistry that is non-corrosive and 99.7% phosphate free. It can help reduce total cost of operations by reducing rewash frequency by up to 10%. Additionally, its innovative design reduces packaging by 97% compared to traditional solids.

Since its installation, Meiko dishwashing machine has helped the hotel to achieve overall operational efficiency specifically 80% time savings, as compared to manual washing, 66% water usage savings, 87% energy savings, and 60% chemical savings.

In line with Hyatt’s global commitment in 2018 to reduce single-use plastic including straws and drink picks, the hotel has extended its care for the environment by using woven laundry covers, Forest Stewardship Council-certified pastry gi boxes, biodegradable paper straws, print collaterals, etc.
