Born from a spontaneous moment, Beauty in the Detour captures the unexpected grace of flowers casually placed after a photoshoot. Sophie Mess was struck by the natural, unplanned arrangement—imperfect yet harmonious. This piece celebrates the quiet beauty found in letting go, embracing creative accidents, and staying present. With instinctive composition and fluid movement, it speaks to the richness of the unplanned path. Mess invites us to trust the process, to notice what we might otherwise overlook, and to find meaning in life’s detours. Here, the accidental becomes intentional, and the ordinary becomes extraordinary.

First painted as a mural in the heart of Paris, ‘Embers’ was born on a wall touched by fire, a place marked by the past, yet ready for new life. It was there Snik placed their portrait: a quiet figure, eyes in soft gaze, suspended between stillness and change. Delicate ivy, cut in black and white stencil, traces across her face, resilient, reaching, while warmth blooms outward in soft layers of spray-painted colour, evoking the glow of something enduring. Through their signature technique, Snik creates a moment where beauty lingers at the edge of transformation. Embers is not about what was lost, but what holds on. A pulse beneath the sur face. The quiet beginning of what grows back stronger.

‘Red Vase and Flowers’ represents a significant milestone in Joachim’s artistic journey, being his first work without human or animal forms, marking his entry into the still life genre. In this piece, Joachim delves into the expressive power of complementary colours, particularly red and green, which enhance each other’s vibrancy. The composition was carefully refined, achieving a perfect visual balance. Beyond traditional brushwork, Joachim employs innovative techniques like scraping with knives and scratching fine lines onto the canvas, creating intricate textures visible in the petals and foliage. This piece not only reflects technical growth but also a new sense of quiet confidence, where simplicity and depth coexist in living colour.Red Vase and Flowers marks Joachim’s debut in still life, boldly exploring red and green contrasts. The artist brings delicate life to flora using unique techniques like scraping and scratching, revealing a striking, detailed beauty in the composition.

The Weight of Present V’ continues Ruben Sanchez’s exploration of compositional imbalance, yet here the tension is subdued and intimate. Washed-out tones and loosened forms suggest a quieter kind of disruption, one internal, reflective, and ongoing. Perhaps shaped by a mid-life reckoning, the work speaks to the gentle drama of transition. The still life becomes a metaphor, holding space for psychological states in flux. Balance is no longer structural but emotional, something sought yet never settled. The painting invites viewers into a contemplative quiet where the present is not a fixed point but a slow pressure that shapes and questions. It is a canvas of subtle becoming, where emotional presence is felt rather than declared.

In ‘Horse Pushing Vase’, a simple gesture becomes a meditation on instability. A horse gently nudges a vase toward the edge, creating a moment filled with quiet tension. The composition appears calm, yet every form leans with intent. The work reflects the emotional negotiations we carry daily, where maintaining balance becomes an act of invisible labour. There is no collapse, only the presence of its possibility. The piece resists resolution, focusing on the emotional choreography of staying upright. Through stillness, it evokes movement, and through restraint, complexity. This is a portrait of subtle persistence, where fragility is acknowledged without shame, honouring the quiet, continuous work of managing what lies just beneath the surface.

Helen Bur’s ‘Women for Life’ revisits the 1981 Greenham Common Women’s Peace Camp, a pivotal moment in feminist and anti-nuclear activism. Inspired by Mike Goldwater’s iconic photo, the painting draws from archival imagery to depict the women who marched 100 miles from Cardiff to the US airbase, carrying banners reading “Women for Life on Earth.” Their peaceful protest aimed to halt nuclear escalation and promote East-West cooperation. Dressed in bright scarves and jackets, the women sit in defiance, halting a bus en route to the military base. Helen Bur’s focus remains on the women - grounded, determined, and unshaken - set against a muted military backdrop, transforming concrete into a site of resistance. Their message endures each May 24th, Women’s International Day for Disarmament and Peace: we remember, we resist, we rise.

In ‘Pillars’, Helen Bur presents a poignant study of solidarity through stillness. Painted in oil on linen, the work features two women lying on their backs, head-to-head, their hands clasped in quiet connection. The mirrored posture suggests both vulnerability and resilience, as if each figure draws strength from the presence of the other. The composition evokes themes of mutual support, communal endurance, and feminine resistance without spectacle, rooted in a calm, deliberate intimacy. The title, Pillars, signals the foundational role of collective strength, particularly in contexts of protest, grief, or care. With strong, meditative tones and restrained gesture, Bur invites us to witness solidarity not as grand action, but as quiet, essential presence, an act of resistance held in stillness.

Bordalo II’s ‘Neutral FX Panda’ is a striking piece from his iconic Trash Animals series, created entirely from discarded materials such as plastic toys, broken objects, and industrial waste. This powerful sculpture addresses the environmental crisis of overproduction, plastic pollution, and its devastating effects on ecosystems and wildlife. The red rotary phone, encircling the panda’s face and wraps around the right ear, serves as a symbolic “wake-up call,” urging urgent action to combat these global challenges. Through the transformation of trash into art, Bordalo II forces us to confront the consequences of our consumption and reconsider our values. The Panda stands as a poignant reminder of the importance of sustainability and the need to protect endangered species, while highlighting the pressing environmental issues of our time.

£2,880 Smouldering Light is set against a fractured, textured backdrop where a cheetah emerges like a memory—an ephemeral figure drifting through a dreamlike terrain that bridges the urban and the wild. Embracing abstraction and expressive texture, the canvas mimics the gritty feel of concrete, layered with smoky greys and dynamic, nuanced hues. This bold interplay of shadow and light brings movement and depth, drawing the viewer into an atmospheric world where emotion and instinct converge. The rough surface offers a tactile experience, encouraging a deeper, sensory engagement. Through this work, Sonny explores the boundaries of wildlife representation, using abstraction to reveal the emotional undercurrents beneath the image, and inviting viewers into a space where raw nature meets urban expression.

Ishema’ meaning “pride” in Kinyarwanda is a powerful portrait that embodies strength, dignity, and ancestral presence. In this large-scale work, Sonny fuses the precision of charcoal realism with his signature graffiti-inspired aesthetic. The gorilla’s penetrating gaze commands attention, while vibrant, expressive strokes of colour ripple across its shoulders, echoing the energy of street art. This visual tension between control and spontaneity mirrors the artist’s exploration of nature’s place within an increasingly urbanised world. Rich in symbolism and emotion, Ishema challenges traditional wildlife portraiture by bridging cultural and visual languages. Through this fusion, Sonny not only honours the spirit of the gorilla, but also elevates it as a timeless symbol of resilience, identity, and the wild’s enduring voice.revealing a striking, detailed beauty in the composition.

£2,750 Triangle Line distills Spidertag’s symbolic language into a minimal, architectural neon composition. A blue triangle, constructed from precise right angles, grounds the line in calm, geometric stability. Harmonious analogous transitions a singular green line floats in exact parallel, an intentional balanced echo rather than a disruption. This spatial relationship creates subtle tension through restraint, highlighting how meaning can emerge from precision and placement. The triangle symbolises foundation, the line signals gesture. This piece speaks to Spidertag’s broader visual vocabulary rooted in his concept of Futurism Privitisim, where light and structure merge. Triangle Line invites a meditative encounter with space, symmetry, and the silent strength of minimalism.

Lines channels Spidertag’s mural energy into a kinetic neon composition that moves through space via a five-colour sequence: Blue _ Orange _ Yellow _ Green _ Purple. Each shift is deliberate, an intentional rhythm, with the line moving freely, like graffiti made of light. The sequence plays with both contrast and harmony: bold complementary shifts from blue to orange, followed by smoother analogous transitions from yellow to green, and then green to purple, not a conclusion, but a shift into a new phase. The lines remain parallel, holding tension, except for the yellow line, which breaks rank , this moment of deviation is rebellious, a symbol of evolution. The piece flows through space in a chromatic rhythm that mirrors the vibrancy of a city, dynamic, colour ful and alive.

‘Jeanne d’Arc’ is a powerful tribute to the enduring legacy of an extraordinary individual. Inspired by Joan of Arc, the national heroine of France, this work captures the pivotal moment when Joan’s story transcended time and history. At just 17, Joan, guided by divine visions, led French forces to key victories in the Hundred Years’ War, including the lifting of the siege of Orléans. Her bravery led to the coronation of Charles VII, altering the course of the war. However, at 19, Joan was captured, tried, and executed for Heresy and Witchcraft.. In this painting, Joachim portrays Joan in her most vulnerable state symbolising her sacrifice and loss of dignity. Yet, this vulnerability also represents her posthumous rehabilitation and sainthood, a powerful rebirth after she was exonerated. Riding a horse with wild hair flowing, she becomes a symbol of liberation and resilience.

Joachim’s ‘Walk in the Park’ is a contemplative meditation on urban life, emotional tension, and the quiet power of nature. Painted after a walk through Antwerp City Park during a period of personal stress, the work captures a shift in inner state from anxiety to calm. The artist places himself within the scene, depicting the symbolic act of smoking. Though he does not smoke, the gesture does not reflect habit but serves as a metaphor for emotional strain and the coping behaviours often observed in public spaces. Through a careful balance of colour and composition, Joachim evokes both the vibrancy of the park and the stillness it offers, presenting the landscape not only as a setting, but as a restorative state of mind.

From the walls of New York City, ‘Morning Lights’ captures its quiet breath rising against the city’s restless rhythm. A portrait of a woman, eyes closed, feels the hush of morning before it moves. Around her, deep orange flowers bloom, rising like the glow of waking skies, not as decoration but as something elemental, encasing her in life, letting nature slowly claim the space. Rendered in a rare orange palette, this piece continues the artists’ evolving exploration of growth, a floral presence that, over time and across continents, has begun to overtake the figures they portray. Like the first light of dawn, quietly spreading, never rushing, always present, Morning Lights carries the rhythm of change. A quiet crescendo. This is not a portrait of waking, but of feeling light as it arrives.

‘In With Love, Despite the Pain’ by Nean Kingdom offers a poignant meditation on loss and remembrance through a scene steeped in melancholy. In the heart of a forest, a man stands before a cut tree stump—once a towering presence among the trees. He lays cut flowers upon its surface, a quiet act of mourning. Both the stump and the flowers are symbols of lives once vibrant, now silenced. Influenced by cinematic language and nature’s quiet power, Nean captures the fragile beauty in moments of farewell. This piece invites the viewer into a space of gentle sorrow, where love persists even in absence. It is a still moment full of meaning, a melancholic tribute to the things we’ve lost but still hold dear.
