Kansas State University

I was born and raised in Kansas and graduated from Chapman High School, where I first began to recognize the importance of creativity in my life. I took graphic design and photography classes, which I loved and led me to choosing my major. Throughout every stage of my life, I’ve gravitated toward creative outlets. When it came time to choose a career path, I knew it had to be one that allowed me to express that creativity while also giving me the opportunity to love what I do every day.

Equally important to me has always been an interest in how people behave, think, and interact with one another and the environments around them. Human behavior has always fascinated me, and I’ve carried that curiosity into my design approach.

Bringing these passions together, I am committed to creating spaces that are not only beautiful but also calming, comforting, and restorative. My goal is to design environments that nurture well-being, encourage connection, and support us as humans shaping the way we interact with each other and with the built world. For me, design is more than aesthetics, it’s about crafting experiences that makes people feel seen, supported, and at ease.

Next Law Office

Time | Fall 2025

Location | Los Angeles, CA

Software | Revit, Enscape, Photoshop

Project Brief

The goal of this project was to design NEXT’s new Los Angeles office as legal workplace that balances client experience, employee wellbeing, and evolving hybrid work needs. The design re-imagines the traditional law firm by shifting from a prestige model to one that supports collaboration and mentorship across generations. Emphasis was placed on creating a welcoming, human-centered environment that reflects NEXT’s culture and values while providing seamless technology integration for in-person and remote work.

Concept

Located near the NEXT office, the Los Angeles River, once a concrete-lined channel, is being transformed into a vibrant green space where ecosystems are being restored and people can reconnect with one another. This renewal serves as inspiration for the NEXT office, which also requires restoration to serve lawyers better. Just as the river’s restoration promotes community and well-being, the office must evolve into a space that nurtures its people, fostering purpose, connection, and growth. The NEXT office will function as an ecosystem of its own, providing the nourishment individuals need to thrive, feel a sense of belonging, and truly be seen.

Inspiration

The Los Angeles River is undergoing significant transformation, developing from a concrete flood control channel to a vibrant green space. This project is going to restore the river’s ecosystems and reconnect parkpoor neighborhoods to river green space. Adapting the river will improve community, well-being, and create spaces where people can belong in Los Angeles.

Logo Development

The combination of all things needed in an ecosystem; sunlight, soil, and water are what allow individuals to thrive.

This space is welcoming for clients that are coming in during stressful times. Flexible tables allow clients to work while they wait.

Floor Plan

Spatial Reasoning

Sunlight spaces are where focused work happens. Just as sunlight provides energy for growth, these bright, energizing environments inspire productivity and concentration

Water spaces are designed for refreshment and reflection. They offer a calm environment where people can pause and recharge so they can return to their work with a clear mind.

Soil Spaces are where people can be mentored, supported, and encouraged to learn. Like rich soil providing nutrients for growth, these spaces nourish development and help individuals be successful.

Public Spaces

The work cafe is the perfect place to take a break from work. It is a responsive space that provides comfort and ease. Employees perform better in environments that do not invite stress. The layout actively fosters interaction and collaboration by bringing users together. Additionally, there’s a fridge, microwave, sparkling water bar and monitor for convenience.

Just like ecosystems adapt to the needs of the individual the Town Hall can adapt for social events.

Aquaponics is a closed loop system where fish waste provides organic nutrients for plants, while plants help filter and purify the water for the fish. This symbiotic relationship creates a self-sustaining ecosystem where both fish and plants thrive. This space offers a calming sensory experience, the gentle sound of running water and the movement of the fish provide an inviting place for people to relax, unwind, connect

Waypoint Motel

Time

| Fall 2025

Location | Wamego, KS

Software | Revit, Enscape, Photoshop

Project Brief

The goal of this project was to quickly renovate and design this motel. Located in Wamego, Kansas, it was important to create a place with experiences that would generate a pull to the location. The objectives were to design a new floor plan for the lobby. Then selections were made for new finishes, furnishings, and lighting. Local context informed material selections and color palettes creating a space that feels both contemporary and connects to its surroundings.

Concept

Motels are instilled with a sense of freedom, adventure and a hit the road mentality. Building on this idea, Waypoint Motel’s guiding phrase became “the perfect stop for your journey.” No matter what adventure guests are on, Waypoint is designed to be part of their story by providing comfort, connection, and support along the way. A waypoint is defined as an intermediate point on a route or line of travel. This idea is reflected in the logo, the star symbolizes the “Waypoint,” or the motel itself. The circle in the logo suggests continuity, inviting travelers to return to Waypoint Motel again as part of their journey

Project Brief

The goal of this project was to design a pediatrics clinic with the on stage/off stage model, balancing the needs of both patients and physicians. The design emphasized creating a calming and welcoming environment to ease the stress of doctor visits for children and their families, while also supporting physicians who spend the majority of time in the clinic.

Concept

Kansas is known for its spectacular sunsets and clear, star-filled skies. This clinic centers around creating an atmosphere inspired by the beauty of the Kansas sky. Rooms are designed with colors that mimic the Kansas sunset with bright oranges and yellows. This helps to create a calming atmosphere. Also incorporated are soft blue tones mimicking the Kansas sky.

Patient Experience

This pediatric clinic waiting area is designed with a transitional space that allows families to enter and orient themselves before approaching the reception desk. Clear visual cues guide patients toward reception reducing stress upon arrival. Nursing staff maintain clear sight-lines to the play area, enabling supervision while allowing for efficient movement toward exam rooms. Overhead cloud-shaped ceiling elements provide soft, diffused illumination, creating a calming atmosphere for children. The play area includes an interactive digital screen that engages children through education content focused on the night sky, highlighting constellations visible in Kansas. This interactive element supports learning through play and distraction, helping to reduce anxiety during wait times.

Reception

The exam room corridor is designed as a calming environment. Overhead cloudshaped light elements line the ceiling, greeting children as they approach exam rooms and create a sense of curiosity and comfort. Following the appointment, children and caregivers exit the exam area along a circulation path that leads to the checkout desk. This intentional routing minimizes patient-to-patient interactions supporting privacy and overall improving flow within the clinic.

The exam room is designed with all necessary triage equipment. To further reduce anxiety and encourage positive engagement, interactive cloud touch panels are incorporated into the room design. These panels allow children to interact with illuminated cloud forms and changing colors.

Staff Experience

This collaborative work zone provides shared desks and access to natural light that supports teamwork and focus. Adjacent to this space is a quieter, heads down area designed for Telehealth calls. Sinks and storage are strategically placed along circulation routes to the exam rooms, supporting efficient work flow. The staff break room is intentionally separated from the office to allow providers to fully disengage from work. Located intentionally at the corner of the office, the break room benefits from abundant natural light, reinforcing staff wellness.

Internship Project

Time | Summer 2025

Location | Topeka, KS

Software | Chief Architect

Project Brief

During my summer internship, I worked on a residential renovation focused on transforming an enclosed kitchen into a more open and inviting space. The primary design goal was to remove an existing wall and create an open-concept kitchen and dining area that maximized natural light and improved circulation for entertaining, To support the client’s passion for hosting, I designed a large central island with an integrated bar. The scope of the project also included the design of custom cabinetry for a wine bar.

Floor Plan & Elevations

A large central island is designed to support hosting, with an attached bar-height table that accommodates larger gatherings and encourages social interaction.

A galley efficient space, galley open

galley sink was incorporated into the kitchen design to support efficient food preparation and entertaining. By integrating prep space, cleanup, and storage into one continuous zone, the galley sink improves workflow while keeping the main island open for serving and seating.

Integrated spice rack, pan storage, and utensil/knife pullouts provide organized, easy to access storage for everyday cooking needs.

Graphic Design Projects

While in high school, I created anything from custom wedding sets to senior banners for real clients through a course called Irish Ink. In this class, I developed foundational skills in graphic design and 2D design. This early experience taught me how to work directly with customers to translate their ideas into finished designs. Taking graphic design courses strengthed my understanding of composition, color and, visual communication. These skills continue to support my work in my interior design major, informing how I approach branding and client-focused design solutions.

Irish Den

Irish Den is a local nonprofit coffee shop located in Chapman, Kansas. This floor plan was developed to provide the owner with a clear understanding of the building’s capacity and the proposed size of the kitchen. In addition to serving as a planning tool, the design was presented to the public and used as a visual aid to support fundraising efforts.

This project challenged me to transform an Altoids tin into a compact design solution. The final piece demonstrates my ability to problem-solve while balancing creativity and precision.
