A Note From Our CEO

A Note From Our CEO

It is the people of Grace Health who have positively shaped our organization from day one. Without the hard work, dedication, and perseverance exhibited by our phenomenal team members, we would be unable to serve the communities in southeastern Kentucky as we do. For every person who shares joy and compassion throughout the day, I want to thank you. Your contributions do not go unnoticed; you are valued.

In this edition, I am excited to recognize several individuals who always go above and beyond in their roles with Grace Health to improve the lives of those around them every day.

This quarter, we had the pleasure of honoring Alesia Anderson, a 14- year employee of Grace Health, with a retirement party at 2nd & Main in Corbin (page 4). On page 18, we highlight the most recent cohort of CMAA graduates and their instructor, Kelly Philpot. The cohort achieved a 100% certification pass rate. Philpot received the Together We Can award for her hard work teaching the CMAA course in addition to her daily dedication to Grace Health. Additionally, we are happy to share that Hannah Owens, one of our amazing medical assistants, is the winner of the Quarter 1 Stellar Award (page 8). We are proud that each of these ladies has given their time and heart to Grace Health, representing a small sampling of the remarkable group dedicated to helping people heal.

We can meet the Grace Health mission because of employees who are willing to learn, train, and grow. To further our mission, we award scholarships to students from our six service areas who intend to pursue a medical career in their secondary education. We are excited to introduce you to the 2022 Kay Campbell Scholarship recipients (pages 5-7). These young people are brilliant examples of the potential that resides in southeastern Kentucky.

In addition to advancing their medical knowledge to help patients in need (pages 9), Grace Health team members represented the hands and feet of Jesus through various outreach events this quarter (pages 12- 14). We continue to see the blessings of God pour upon our communities when we dedicate the time to be written epistles of His Word (page 19). We are thankful that Grace Health team members strive to keep their light burning bright for the people we serve.

"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing." I Thessalonians 5:11
