Update: House Bill 525 Signed Into Law

In the Quarter 1 newsletter this year, we shared how Grace Health was proud to sponsor House Bill 525 (HB525), also known as the Community Health Worker Bill. This bill was introduced to require Medicaid reimbursement for certain services provided by certified community health workers (CCHWs). Additionally, it aimed to establish CHW certification and direct Kentucky Children's Health Insurance Program (KCHIP) to reimburse certain services provided by CCHWs.

Grace Health is thrilled to announce that HB525 was signed into law by Governor Beshear on April 7, 2022. and the act will become effective on January 1, 2023.
