From the Editor (V2.2)

Thank you for joining us for this edition of the Grace Health newsletter. As we reflect on the second quarter of 2025, I’m reminded of how much can happen in a few short months and how much heart our team brings to every challenge and celebration.

This issue highlights some incredible moments: our Grace University pinning ceremony, the addition of two outstanding new providers and 19 support staff, a new HRSA grant to expand care for justice-involved individuals, and a strong outcome from our recent Operational Site Visit. These are major milestones, and each one reflects the dedication, teamwork, and compassion that define what we are.

But perhaps the most powerful reminder of our mission came in the aftermath of the tornado that struck Laurel County in May. Stories like that of peer support specialist Maranda Portwood, who stepped in to support a patient who lost everything, are what truly set Grace Health apart. We don’t just provide care, we show up, stand beside, and serve with purpose.

I hope this issue leaves you feeling proud to be part of something meaningful. Every story here is a reflection of the impact we make together.
