Wines shall be judged according to the 100 points method suggested (as directed) by the International Office for Grapevines and Wine (OIV), World Federation of Major International Wine and Spirits competitions (VINOFED) and the International Association of Enologists (UIŒ).
TT The TSUKAMOTO TROPHY is awarded for the red wine (category III.-A-21) with the highest marks. The wine must get at least 85 points. In the case of two or more wines getting the same number of points, the wine with the highest marks first for taste, then for fragrance then for general impression is chosen.
An assessed sample (calculated as an arithmetic mean of individual tasters’ scores rounded to two decimal places) can receive the following medals:
AA The highest marked wine in group 7 (liqueur wine) is awarded the AKOS ASVANY diploma in memory of the long serving member of the international wine tasting in Ljubljana, providing there are at least 10 participating samples in the category.

The total number of medals awarded at the international wine tasting must not exceed 30% of all participating samples. In the event this limit is exceeded, the lower marked samples are excluded from receiving the medals. In the event of more than one wine receiving the same score, the wines having higher scores for taste are chosen, followed by the score for smell, and if necessary the score for general impression. SPECIAL PRIZES: CH WORLD CHAMPION received by one wine in each of the following groups: 1 - white dry still wines 2 - still natural sweet wines 3 - rose still wines 4 - red dry wines 5 - sparkling wines 6 - wines under veil 7 - liqueur wines 8 - mistelles Each committee of tasters can provide one candidate for the world champion (wine with the highest score) if wine from the stated groups achieves the following levels of quality: • • • •
the sample has to be evaluated with at least 85 points in wines with serial numbers 1, 2, 4 at least 4 countries must participate and the total number of samples in the group must exceed 40 in wines with serial numbers 3, 5, 6, and 7 at least 3 countries must participate and the total number of samples in the group must exceed 15 a joint champion title can be awarded to wines in groups 6 and 7 where there are more than 15 wines from at least 3 countries evaluated
PD The highest scoring wine of individual country, under condition that the country participates the competition with at least 20 samples, can be awarded the title NATIONAL CHAMPION. SCH The highest scoring Slovene wine is awarded the title SLOVENE CHAMPION if it receives at least a gold medal. PVO The highest awarded Slovene wine of each viniferous district is awarded the title CHAMPION OF SLOVENIAN WINEGROWING DISTRICTS under condition that it receives at least a gold medal and if at least 20 samples of the district take part in the competition. SPS The title SLOVENIAN CHAMPION OF VARIETY receives the best rated wine in the context of each sort, if at least 10 samples of the sort take part in the competition. ZVP The title WINNER OF SLOVENIAN WINE PARTICULARITY receives the best estimated Slovenian wine which is marked PTP (traditional name recognized). To obtain the title at least 20 samples must take part in the competition. TV Vinofed Trophy is an award, presented by Vinofed under strictly difined conditions to: - the wine with the least deviation among scores received from each committee member - the wine that satisfies the stated requirements and receives at least 85 points At one competition only one such award is presented. In the event two wines fulfil the conditions the wine with the highest score is awarded the trophy In the event that two wines are still competing for the trophy the wine with the lowest score from an individual taster will be excluded.
