Christmas in July is back! It's a fun event where we help kids from our sister churches Latinos Unidos En Cristo (LUEC) and Igreja Presbiteriana Brasileira (IPB), both of San Mateo, to start the school year in style.
We do so by providing “gift bags” filled with little treats, toys, one new school outfit, and a $50.00 gift card to over 45 school-aged kids. (please include a gift receipt so they can exchange, if needed) This program will help to bring the Christmas spirit in the middle of the summer!
You can become Santa’s Helper this summer by doing your own shopping or by making a donation so Santa’s Elves (the church) can do the shopping for you. This is a great way to share the holiday spirit in a meaningful and fun way!
If you would like to make a donation, you can do so by clicking here certain to choose "Christmas in July" from the dropdown menu. If you are donating by check, make the check payable to "First Presbyterian Church of Burlingame" and write "Christmas in July” on the memo line.
If you would like to do your own shopping, you can pick-up a child's information in the church lobby on Sunday, July 23rd. Please bring purchased items to the church no later than Sunday, July 30th, when we will celebrate Christmas in July by providing the completed gift bags to our sister churches. It will be at Burlpres Church in the Sanctuary Lobby.
