Amplify Military Voices with StoryCorps

Have you heard of a “driveway moment”? It’s a term broadcast professionals use to label a compelling story that keeps you glued to the radio in a parked car long after you’ve made it to your destination. There’s no denying that stories connect us and stir up emotions within us unlike most things can.

At GPB, we’re committed to sharing these compelling stories. This summer, we are partnering with StoryCorps to highlight the experiences of Georgian veterans, service members and military families through the Military Voices initiative. In sharing their stories, we hope to provide a platform to honor their voices, amplify their experiences and let them know that we – as a nation – are listening.

If you or a service member you know has a proud moment, defining memory or lesson from a military experience to share, we’d love to invite them to an upcoming virtual or in-person recording.
