CLASSROOM CONVERSATIONS A NEW PODCAST
As Georgia educators expand the world for their students, class after class, we think they need a place to share…and learn. We are excited to introduce Classroom Conversations, a new podcast series presented by the Georgia Department of Education and GPB Education. Hosted by Emmyaward winning host Ashley Mengwasser, Classroom Conversations is the platform for Georgia’s teachers where they can tune in and tune up their instructional strategies. Each episode features teachers who are approaching the curriculum in innovative, impactful ways. With heart-warming anecdotes, creative teaching tips and dynamic dialogue, Classroom Conversations is here to revitalize the work week.
Forget talk! This…is teacher talk! And our teachers are ready to “show their work” on topics including positive classroom climate, computer science, writing across the curriculum, the workforce pipeline, early childhood education, new math standards…and more.

Scott Tong joins Here & Now as new co-host
Highly regarded public speaker, author and former Marketplace China bureau chief Scott Tong has joined Here & Now as a co-host, along with Robin Young and Tonya Mosley.
A live production of NPR and WBUR, Here & Now reflects the fluid world of news as it’s happening in the middle of the day with timely, smart and in-depth news, interviews and conversation.
I’m excited to join Robin, Tonya and the WBUR/NPR team at Here & Now to tell timely stories with the program’s signature context and thoughtfulness. - Scott Tong
Airing Monday – Friday from Noon - 2 p.m. on GPB Atlanta and across the GPB Radio Network, Here & Now’s daily lineup includes interviews with newsmakers, NPR reporters, editors and bloggers, innovators and artists from across the U.S. and around the globe.
“As I child, I learned a Chinese fable about a frog in a well: deep underground, this critter only sees a tiny patch of blue above and assumes that’s the whole sky,” Tong told the WBUR Insider. “Until of course the frog comes to the surface. Marketplace gave me the opportunity to explore the great skies of the world — in Nairobi, Caracas, Shanghai, Manila — and tell stories about them; for that I will always be thankful. Now, I’m excited to join Robin, Tonya and the WBUR/NPR team at Here & Now to tell timely stories with the program’s signature context and thoughtfulness.”
