Five caught for stealing railroad line SECUNDA | MARLITA CLAASSENS The Hawks Serious Crime Investigation, based in Secunda, apprehended five suspects in Morgenzon on Friday, April 29. This follows a tip-off about the stealing of railway lines. The suspects, aged between 27 and 56, were found loading railway lines inside two trucks, one
tractor, one front loader and a bakkie. The estimated damage is R1, 5 million. The suspects were detained and charged pending a court appearance in the Morgenzon Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, May 2. They are facing charges of damage of infrastructure, theft and possession of suspected stolen property. newsroom@rekordmediafs.co.za
