ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
All our master’s programmes require a bachelor’s degree or certificate of ongoing studies. Which majors are accepted depends on the programme. You will find our programme specific requirements on our website. Proof of proficiency in English, Level 6 6.5 - IELTS Academics, no section below 5.5 90 - TOEFL Internet based, minimum of 20 on the written part 575 -TOEFL Paper based, minimum of 4.5 on the written part With a few exceptions, these are the English requirements for most of our programmes.

The University of Gothenburg offers several scholarships for fee-paying master’s students. gu.se/scholarships
EU/EEA Applicants Students who are EU/ EEA or Swiss citizens do not pay application or tuition fees in Sweden.

Non-EU/EEA Applicants The application fee is SEK 900. Tuition fees vary for each programme, between: SEK 83,000 – 331,000 per year.

SEK 8,370 per month is required for obtaining a residence permit. However, the living expences for students in Gothenburg are usually around 10,000-13,000 per month.
