FOREWORD
So much can happen over the span of six months. After 182 days (and then some), 53 incredibly talented artists, and the help of 8 diligent moderators and organizers, we’ve finally compiled the world’s first and only GORILLAZ FANART BOOK.
It took a lot of blood, sweat, and tears (mostly blood) but we pulled through together in the end. I’d like to extend a special thank you note to all of the incredibly talented creators who reached out to participate in the project- without you, it never would have been possible! It’s truly incredible to see so many people from so many corners of the world coming together to unite over their shared passion for a funny, animated monkey band.
I’d also like to extend a thank you to Lore and Limee for initially coming up with the idea for the project and helping with the application process.
To the rest of the moderation team, I’d like to thank Jakki “superfastoctopus” for his help setting up and organizing our discord server, Limee “Obsessedandpossessed” for her mastery of spreadsheets and organizing our artists and artistic process, Abi “P0lyanna” for her exceptional graphic design and organizational skills, Izzy “Izzy_Artz1” for her help managing our social medias, Snuffpuppy for moderating the server, and Satsuma for pulling it all together in the 12th hour. None of this would have ever happened without the help I’ve had from these wonderful people- from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!
