Published as part of Habits of the Co-existent (2), an occupation of Platform's main storage unit on the afternoon of May 28th, 2017. The event took place at a time when the room that usually acts as rehearsal space for touring theatre and dance companies, played host to many colourful props and costumes from the local community's annual carnival. The second project-book with contributions from Ben Callaghan, Cicely Farrer, Ella Hillström, and Janina Sabaliauskaite & Jade Sweetingis concerned with notions of learning through performativity, scoring organisation, and the applications of a nuanced history of eccentricity. Habits of the Co-existent is a curatorial-residential dialogue between: Gordon Douglas, The NewBridge Project, Newcastle; Edinburgh College, Granton; and Platform, Glasgow. The project focuses on the performativity, values and ideologies that we inherit and rehearse through shared working environments, social scenes and partnerships.
