We breed em tough on Wotjobaluk country! A bit of wind and rain was no deterrent to a fabulous family day at Dimmy. What a great turnout and thank you for all who attended and participated. The dance group was a particular highlight and I congratulate Tanisha and her team of budding dancers on such amazing work.
I would also like to call out the great co-operation and co-ordination that went on between Goolum and BGLCs sta in pulling the day together. A special thanks to Dylan Clarke for his kind words and gi of the message sticks. At the end of the day, we are all one on country and the closer we work together the better for everyone.
Congratulations to all the award winners presented at the Police Commissioners NAIDOC event. Another event that enjoyed a great attendance. The art exhibition and the launch of the Bunjils View production was a fitting way to wind up the celebrations of culture.

The Commonwealth Home Support Programe (CHSP)
Needing a little help doesn’t mean losing your independence or the right to make decisions for yourself. We offer two separate programs to assist community members to live independently at home.
The CHSP provides entry level support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members aged 50+, frail or live with a disability. The aim of the program is to focus on working with you, rather than doing for you. It is about building on your strengths and abilities to help you remain living independently and safely at home.
This could be assistance with cleaning, shopping, gardening or if you’re feeling lonely and isolated attending a planned activity group. However, if your needs are more complex, a Home Care Package could be better suited to you and our staff can assist in helping you access this service.
The Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC-PYP)
For all your Women’s health needs
Selina Pilgrim is available on Monday, and Wednesday morning for appointments. Please call us at the clinic.
Provides basic short term support and maintenance services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members aged 0 to 50. You may require this assistance due to a chronic illness and short-term health needs but not eligible for an Age Care or Disability Support Package.
