Davinci Resolve by Blackmagic Design In my opinion, Resolve is the only serious competitor for Premiere Pro in the general video editing market. A few years ago, Resolve was expensive and used only by professional color graders and finishers. Then Blackmagic decided to add a few more features and drop the price of Resolve to $300 (at the time of this publication). Resolve excels over Premiere in color grading and, in some ways, in audio mixing as well. The main drawback is that Resolve is not as easy to learn. You have to deal with a few more software details to setup and use Resolve.
