Dear Friends of Goodwill,

As we conclude a year-long celebration of Goodwill San Antonio’s 80th anniversary, we are filled with gratitude for the generations of teammates, partners, and supporters who have shaped our mission since 1945. For eight decades, Goodwill has stood as a place of opportunity, where lives are changed through the power of work. This past year, we continued building on that legacy by helping individuals gain skills, find meaningful employment, and achieve greater independence. Our success is a direct reflection of our people we serve – the heart of Goodwill – whose compassion and dedication inspire everything we do.

We celebrated our 80-year anniversary through meaningful milestones and accomplishments. We kicked off the year with our #80YearsOfChangingLives series, which highlighted inspiring stories of success and was shared across our social media channels and website. In April, the City of San Antonio recognized our impact with a Mayoral proclamation declaring April 25 as “Goodwill San Antonio’s 80th Anniversary Day”, and the Senate of the State of Texas honored our eight decades of service with an official state resolution. In May, we hosted our first-ever commemorative gala, recognizing the people and partners whose commitment allows our mission to thrive.

As we honor 80 years of impact, we look forward with optimism, ready to build on our proud history and embrace the opportunities ahead, with purpose, integrity, and an unwavering belief in the dignity of work.

With gratitude,

CARLOS

Changing Lives Through the Power of Work

VISION

A community powered by a skilled workforce, successful businesses, and a strong economy.

80 Years of Changing Lives

In 1945, what began as a local response to support returning WWII veterans with disabilities and displaced workers, Goodwill San Antonio has grown into one of the region’s most trusted and impactful workforce development organizations. Spearheaded by local business leaders and other notable forwardthinking community leaders, Goodwill San Antonio was established with the belief that everyone deserves the chance to thrive through employment.

This vision established a legacy of empowerment that continues to serve San Antonio and surrounding communities across a 24-county region, impacting thousands of lives each year.

As we reflect on our past, we remain focused on building a prosperous future for our community. We are committed to expanding our services, developing new programs, and forming partnerships that extend the reach and power of our mission. With the continued support of our community, we will be able to transform lives, strengthen families, and uplift neighborhoods for generations to come.

“GOODWILL SAW MY ABILITY, NOT MY DISABILITY.”

Impact by the Numbers

Goodwill’s mission comes to life each day through community donations, dedicated team members, and life-changing workforce programs. This year, our impact reflects what happens when opportunity, support, and resources align to help people build stronger futures.

Donation events continued to fuel our mission, certified training programs expanded access to industry-recognized credentials and employment, lastly, our business contracts provided critical support to federal and commercial needs.

Through genuine care and strong collaboration, we’ve achieved remarkable growth across Goodwill San Antonio – growth that reflects our enduring impact in creating opportunity, strengthening communities, and transforming lives.

80TH ANNIVERSARY MILESTONES

Goodwill San Antonio proudly celebrated our 80th anniversary with a year of meaningful milestones, including team member celebrations across our locations, City of San Antonio Mayoral proclamation, Texas Senate resolution honoring our impact, and a commemorative gala recognizing eight decades of changing lives through the power of work.

EXPANDED TRAINING PROGRAMS

This year, we launched two new workforce development programs: Manufacturing Boot Camp, preparing individuals for in-demand industrial careers, and Computer Literacy Training program specifically for Goodwill team members, empowering them to strengthen digital skills and advance professionally. Both programs reflect our continued commitment to expanding opportunities through skill building and lifelong learning.

NEW PARTNERSHIP

Goodwill San Antonio was named a Prime Partner through the City of San Antonio’s SA Ready to Work initiative. Together, we will expand career training and job placement services, helping individuals achieve meaningful work and build brighter futures in high-demand fields.

SERVING THE COMMUNITY

When devastating floods struck Kerr County, our Goodwill team in Kerrville sprang into action. Alongside the American Red Cross, team members from across the region set up a Distribution Center and provided more than 65,000 items to support more than 12,000 neighbors in need. Our team’s compassion brought relief and hope to those impacted, including first responders and volunteers.

AWARD WINNING MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS TEAM

The Marketing & Communications team earned seven awards in 2025, including PRSA’s Del Oro Awards and the American Marketing Association’s Marketing Excellence Awards. Recognized for outstanding storytelling, social media, campaigns, and impact reporting, these awards highlight the team’s creativity, dedication, and commitment to showcasing Goodwill’s mission and commitment to serving the community.

Goodwill CARES

As a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace, Goodwill San Antonio established the Goodwill CARES committee. Utilizing the acronym CARES: Culture, Awareness, Resilience, Empowerment, and Service, the committee is dedicated to creating a workplace where every individual feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.

Through thoughtful programming, events, and community outreach, Goodwill San Antonio team members are offered opportunities to engage in ways that are meaningful to them.

Goodwill Opportunity Center

Goodwill San Antonio’s future is rooted in a bold and hopeful vision: the Goodwill Opportunity Center. This Center will become a transformative space where individuals facing barriers to employment can build skills, earn credentials, overcome challenges, and connect with meaningful career opportunities – all in one welcoming place.

Located in the heart of downtown, the reimagined Rosa Verde Towers will become a vibrant hub for possibility, collaboration, and community strength. It will bring together essential resources and

create a space where every partner, supporter, and neighbor can play a role in strengthening San Antonio’s workforce.

This centralized hub for workforce development will grow our current 7,000 square foot classroom capacity to up to 60,000 square feet. This expanded space will allow us to help even more job seekers develop skills, and connect with quality employment opportunities that align with their career goals, all under one roof. Together, we can turn this vision into reality, and open the door to opportunity for generations to come.
