GIMI OPERATIONS

Keyholder LDP1 Training:

• In early July, we had the privilege of engaging with all our keyholders during a dynamic and enriching day of learning through the LDP 1 course. The energy and commitment displayed were truly inspiring. We’re excited to build on this momentum and look forward to reconnecting in October as we continue this impactful journey together.

LBK Bookstore:

• We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve officially signed a lease to open our next bookstore and ADC on beautiful Longboat Key. While the site is currently under construction, exciting progress is underway. Stay tuned more updates will be shared as we move closer to opening day!

Suncoast GW Visit:

• As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability and reducing the impact of unsellable items on local landfills, we recently had a valuable opportunity to collaborate with our neighboring organizations. By partnering with other Florida Goodwills, we’re gaining fresh insights and strengthening our collective efforts. Working together on these initiatives not only amplifies our impact—it makes us stronger.

GIPB OPERATIONS

DGR Leadership Workshop:

• Our Regional Directors and OTC participated in a 2-Day development workshop focused on the alignment of strategic initiatives and consistency of our

Production Reporting:

• GIPB is excited to launch production dashboards through Microsoft Power BI. These reports will be available to our team members in WESA and will be highlighted on our newly installed production room monitors. The data will support our teams with robust daily & weekly insights on production achievement (store level and individual) and category performance.

GIPB Bookstore Coming Soon...

• As we work to finalize designs and layouts. We are excited to announce that a bookstore is coming to our GIPB market for the 1st time. This location will serve as both a bookstore and donation drop off (ADC) and will be located in the same plaza as the previous Stuart GGC. Stay tuned for more information on this exciting endeavor...

Leadership Updates

• HR welcomed a new member of leadership this week, Veronica White as our Senior HR Operations Manager.

o Her role supports organizational leadership with the development and alignment of our HR processes

o She brings over 20 years of HR experience with recruiting, performance management – take a moment to welcome her to our team!

• We celebrate the promotion of Tiffany Ortiz Martinez to HR Business Partner!

• Tiffany has also officially relocated to the GIPB region and joins Duraine Gayle, HRBP and Carrie Hilliard, HR Generalist

TALENT

Leadership Update

• We welcomed Grace Cid to the team as our Talent Acquisition Manager

o Her role will support both GIMI & GIPB talent teams

o She comes to us with strong experience in all stages of recruitment and leading the recruitment process

SAFETY & RISK

Risk Management:

This month’s Risk Management meetings reviewed trends and claim costs by location and organization-wide, reinforcing our commitment to a safe, compliant, and positive workplace.

Key Reminders:

• PPE: Always wear gloves and proper gear first contact is the donor door.

• Material Handling: Use appropriate equipment correctly to prevent injuries.

• Incident Reporting: Report all team member and customer incidents & injuries immediately.

• Workplace Conduct: We are a smokefree, drug-free workplace. We cannot leave property during 15-minute paid breaks.

Audits:

Welcome LiFonda Hammond, our new Internal Auditor for GIPB North

Audits are a supportive tool used to assist locations with maintaining compliances.

July Trends:

• Personal items at workstations

• Improper use of MHE

• Not following cash handling procedures

Loss Prevention:

Some key Loss Prevention initiatives are reducing shrink, improving compliance and increasing staff awareness. Here are some ways we make that happen:

• Be the best witness/document

• Keep the dressing rooms locked and check between each customer

• Verify donor count

• Follow cash handling processes

LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT

GIPB:

• We hosted our second sessions of LDP1 support team trainings through the whole month. Thanks to the presenters to make this happen, as it was a busy month of learning!

• We visited Forest Hill GGC, South Dixie GGC, South Bargain Barn, and Gulfstream, successfully enrolling a total of 23 team members in our JPL program. During the visits we provided training in Speexx for the TLCs and Team Members. We already have TMs booking and attending their first virtual sessions!

GIMI:

• We had 7 JPL participants move up a level in Speexx in July! Please join me in celebrating their achievements!

• We hosted our first ever Keyholder LDP session in partnership with Operations. Thanks to all of the presenters for sharing your expertise. We had a lot of engagement and saw the need for more!

• Partnered with Safety for LOTO training deployed at GIPB

• Tested 4 rebranded modules for launch

• Completed first draft of Material Handler module for updates

• Submitted Apparel updated module to Ops for final review

• Collaborated with Jeff M on the Pricer module

• Partnered with Margie on a few projects:

o Submit for the Accenture Skills Grant through GII

o Scheduled time for a meeting with USF for a possible college partnership option

• Met with IS on GIPB NHO plans MDS

• GoodwillU Demos and follow up with North Florida, Big Bend, San Antonio, and South Texas

• Supported Miami with more module deployments

• Congratulations to Carrie Grose for completing her Excel course and Brittany Goitiz for completing her CAPM Certification!

• Partnered with Margie to support Mission training for the Goodwill of Central and Coastal VA Team on the GPC Program

REAL ESTATE / FACILITIES MAINTENANCE

GIMI:

• REMD has 3 potential ADC's locations in the pipeline.

• We are under contract to purchase our LWR TC ADC location we've been leasing.

• Still on track to dispose of Manatee GGC in 2025, but will continue to operate a temporary ADC until a replacement location is secured.

• LBK construction remains on schedule, with the delivery of Q4 of 2025.

A big thank you to our FM team for successfully completing the Board Room remodel!

GIPB:

• Kim and Tess traveled to GIPB the week of the 28th to search for new locations, resulting in seven potential donation center sites within our target areas.

• Stuart Square ADC/Bookstore is under active construction and is projected to be completed in Q4 of 2025. Sneak Peak below:

INFORMATION SERVICES

Infrastructure Optimization:

• GIPB Production Digital Displays: The Help Desk and Facilities Management teams have completed the installation of the new displays at all locations.

• SDWAN Conversions: Our Infrastructure team has completed the conversion at the following locations:

• 295 (Cortez GGC)

• 421 (Jacaranda ADC)

• 420 (Toledo Blade ADC)

• GIMI Credit Card Terminals: Our project to replace the credit card terminals at all points-of-sale is currently awaiting the delivery of the new devices. Our team will be in contact with Store Leadership to coordinate dates and time of installation after business hours.

Team Development:

• Continued Education: We are excited to share our TL of Project Management, Brittany Goitiz earned their Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification!

Innovation & Emerging Technology:

• Dashlane migration for password management and centralized Helpdesk chat were implemented to streamline IS operations.

• Worked with HR towards fully digitizing the change requests process.

• Partnered with Risk Management to implement and test a new camera analytics platform.

Asana Updates:

• What's new in Asana - July 2025

• Reminder: Asana has selected our workspace to test a new feature – emoji reactions! The classic “thumbs up” is now a variety of emoji options.

• Please note, we are still using “thumbs up ( )” for status update acknowledgments. Feel free to use other emojis in task comments – just keep it professional and fun .

Collaboration/Team Updates:

• In July, Project Management collaborated with Risk Management and Safety, Marketing, Accounting, Mission Services, Information Services, and many more to kick off multiple cross-functional projects.

• Brittany Goitiz, TL of Project Management, recently earned her Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification. This achievement will further strengthen and support the growth of our project management team!

PM Analytics:

• The PM team is currently supporting:

• 9 Enterprise projects (+2 since LM)*

• 4 GIMI projects (+2 since LM)*

• 4 GIPB projects (+3 since LM)*

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT SUPPORT & RECOGNITION

Community Engagement

• Attended Bradenton Kiwanis meetings, as well as an informative orientation session.

• Initial meeting with Lee Washington and Carlos de Quesada about opportunities with the planned Manatee Veteran's Park.

• We hosted a general lunch and learn on the 15th.

• On the 16th we held a modified lunch and learn with Out-of-Door Academy for a great group of youth.

• Donn was interviewed on the Suncoast View on the 22nd.

• Met with the Argus Foundation to reignite our participation with the organization.

• Met with a potential videographer as we begin to plan our next Ambassador Awards Luncheon.

• Met with Big Brothers Big Sisters about an exciting potential partnership.

• Had a follow up meeting with the Palm Beach County Food Bank.

GIMI Support & Recognition:

• 51 team members celebrated at the July 8th GIMI breakfast

• 58 Heart Cards were sent throughout the month, and there were 5 winners of $10 gift cards

• 17 Bright Ideas were submitted

• 40 team members received a 90 Day Card & Pin

• 126 team members were mailed a birthday card

• 29 Core Value Awards

• 22 supply orders placed throughout the month for various departments

• We received 8 donations with personal items, letters have been sent to notify owners

• 1590 new subscribers were added for the GIMI newsletter

• Completed 18 printer readings

• Supported OPS with WESA adjustments (145)

• Printed over 1690 signs/notices for various departments

• Booked the Corporate Campus Conference room for usage 69 times

GIPB Support & Recognition:

• Hosted four Support and Recognition Department LDP1 Virtual Sessions with 50 TM’s total in attendance.

• 26 Heart Cards were sent throughout the month, and there were 2 winners of $10 gift cards

• 4 Bright Ideas were submitted

• 23 team members received a 90-day card & pin

• Completed 35 Help Desk Tickets

• We received 6 donations with personal items, letters sent to notify owners

• Supported OPS with WESA adjustments (83)

• Printed over 400 signs/notices for various departments

MISSION DEVELOPMENT SERVICES

WESA & IS

• GW of N. New England had positive feedback on our implementation and expressed appreciation for our team.

• Dan joined our BI team and has already made a huge impact with WESA and reporting.

• Our IS team continues to support Gulfstream Goodwill Industries’ IT functions.

• During a recent course at MIT, Donn was able to share some of the WESA enhancements with a dozen fellow CEOs.

Local Support

• We continued our work with Second Heart Homes. This past month, we began work with our Risk & Safety team to conduct an assessment to identify vulnerabilities.

• We continue to engage other non-profits to discuss how we can provide support to local groups while also providing developmental opportunities to our internal support teams.

Helms College

• Our first course was a huge success. We have one class left, and we have received very positive feedback. If you are interested in learning more about our Pursuit of Education Program, including Helms College, please reach out to your GPC or Sara in L&D.

• Thanks to the connection with Helms College, we have some new interest in WESA & Goodwill ® U!
