Angela An

Angela is a 7-time Emmy Award winning journalist who anchors 10TV News at Four and 10TV News at 5:30 p.m. She is also a National and Regional Edward R. Murrow Award winner for Breaking News coverage in 2023.

Angela currently leads 10TV’s Boomtown coverage looking at challenges and solutions as central Ohio grows.

Jane Taylor

This year Jane is being recognized by Franklin County as a Star award winner at the annual 2024 Community Star Awards ceremony.

Jane says she came to be an artist later in life. She first started painting at the Goodwill Art Studio when it was located on Edgehill Rd. She said her art friends and peers were supportive of her work there. Jane remembers Cody, Debbie and Nicholas were her first art workshop instructors and they were very supportive of her experience. Jane has created works using mixed media, acrylic paint, dyed translucent tissue paper and gel medium to create rich layered primarily “abstract” works. Jane has recently begun experimenting with mixing color directly on canvas, applying colors in sequence and showcasing textural brushwork on the surface.

De’Adre

De’Adre joined Goodwill Columbus in 2021 through the Project SEARCH program in partnership with Designer Brands.

He started the program feeling reserved and left the program with confidence. Through his time in Project SEARCH, he learned how to advocate for himself and his needs personally and professionally. When the program ended, he was ready to find a job that fit his needs. This led him to a role at a Goodwill Columbus attended donation center. Through his work, De’Adre has grown to be more independent, and he continues to reach and exceed his goals.

De’Adre is an extraordinary example of how the power of work can change lives inside and outside of work.

EXTRAORDINARY PEOPLE HONOREE

Latasha started at Goodwill Columbus by taking advantage of Goodwill Columbus’ free job training programs.

She was working through the barriers of previously being incarcerated and was looking for an opportunity in a setting that was welcoming and open to all. Her leadership skills were recognized, which led her to take a leadership role with Goodwill Columbus’ retail department. It has now been over 6 years since Latasha started with Goodwill Columbus and she is now the Store Lead for the Morse Road store. Latasha’s story is a remarkable example of providing people with second chances. From being a leader in sales to creating an environment of respect and growth with her team, Latasha is always up to something extraordinary.
