From Darkness To Light

“T o give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace” (Luke 1:79).

I lived with severe anxiety and depression until I was 33. God instantly delivered me when I was born again in Batam, Indonesia. That was more than 20 years ago.

I have experienced deep sadness and even heartbreak since then. The difference now is that I know that God is with me. No matter what happens around me, I have deep and settled joy in my heart that is not dependent upon circumstances or upon the actions or inactions of others. I completely trust God with my life. 2 Corinthians 4:6: “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”

This joy is not conditional. This joy is a gift from God. He can make a way out of no way. He can move us from the kingdom of darkness into the Thanksgiving and Prayer kingdom of light. We come before you today to thank you for your
