Nina, please remind us when Nina’s Estate Agents was established? We set up Nina’s Estate Agents back in 2005. How has business been for you? Incredible! We celebrated eleven years this January and it’s been a bit of a whirlwind. We have survived a massive recession where, unfortunately, other businesses have fallen by the wayside and emerged stronger than ever. Tell us about your team I am the Director of the company and a qualified valuer. I have a team of six on the sales side including Rob, Pauline, Diane, Kirsty, Jac and Rhian. On the lettings side there’s Rob (Parker), Katherine, Jacqui and Adam our inhouse financial adviser. Stop a moment, did you say lettings? Yes, we opened a lettings side of the business back in 2007. This is in a separate building just a few doors up.
This is a fully managed/tenant find service for landlords, offering free valuations, marketing of their property on our website and all major portals, accompanied viewings, vetting of tenants, preparation of tenancy agreement and property management. We are up-to-date with all of the latest legislations and are an Accredited Agency and Members of the TDS Bond Dispute Scheme. What makes Nina’s Estate Agency special? Undoubtedly it’s my 26 years’ experience and our highly trained staff who are bursting with energy and enthusiasm. Our clients tell us that our friendly, family-oriented approach keeps them coming back time after time. As we’ve worked together for so long, we have helped each other through life’s ups and downs.
We appreciate that buying a house can be very daunting. We have clients who have never moved, are moving because of divorce or other personal circumstances and some who’ve moved six times! Ours is a very personal one-toone service. We take our clients through every step of the process. We are also sought out by investors looking to buy properties in the Vale of Glamorgan area. Knowing that we’re offering great service to our customers is what keeps us developing the business and continually improving what we do. How do you see the next five years? We have been asked to reach out into different areas from people living in, or wanting to live in Penarth, Dinas Powys and Sully. We would love to do this and would welcome any interest from sellers, buyers and landlords.
