WBR Superbike Raffle: October 1 – November 1, 2010 World Bicycle Relief Raffles WBR Superbike for $5/ticket to Raise Funds for Bike Program in Zambia This September, in partnership with Chicago Cubs Charities, World Bicycle Relief hosted its inaugural Wrigley Field Road Tour, a century ride from historic Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL to Miller Park in Milwaukee, WI. The 160 cyclists who participated raised over $174,000 for World Bicycle Relief's BEEP project and the work of Chicago Cubs Charities. The WBR Superbike, commissioned by World Bicycle Relief Founder and President, F.K. Day, added to the event-day buzz. F.K. worked with SRAM engineers to design his Wrigley Field Road Tour ride around the frame and rear carrier used on the bikes we distribute in Africa. His bike was custom-fitted with the following deluxe components: - Zipp 303 tubular wheels - Vittoria EVO XN cyclocross tubular tires - SRAM Carbon Cranks, i-Motion 3 geared hub, ceramic bearings BB - Nitto Technomic stem & North Road Handlebar - Brooks Flyer S Special Black saddle - Time ATAC XS carbon pedals - Garmin Edge 705 GPS - Custom built red WBR bell This exclusive bike will also be signed by Johan Bruyneel, SRAM co-founders Stan and F.K. Day and Chicago Cubs owner Todd Ricketts. On November 1, 2010 the lucky winner of this exclusive bike will be announced live from a recipient school in rural Zambia by WBR board member, and the world's most accomplished cycling coach Johan Bruyneel.
