Hundreds take part in march for justice By Roslyn Ryan Editor
Looming thundershowers and reports of counter protesters did little to deter a group of around 200 from taking part in what organizers described as a march for solidarity last Friday. Organized by the group Goochland United, the march saw demonstrators make their way from Goochland High School to the county Courthouse, many holding signs and calling out for social justice reform. It was the second gathering this month in support of equality for African-Americans, following a demonstration held at the County Administration building on June 6, and was timed to coincide with Juneteenth, a holiday celebrating the end of slavery in the United States.
